have you thought about replacing the pistons? Jun posted hp numbers with aftermarket pistons, (maybe rods too?) along with their cams.

simota1 01-12-2013 01:47 PM

i cant wait to see how this thing will perform  great job dood!!!

Navyboy916 01-12-2013 02:51 PM

I have thought about replacing the buttom end but not right now cause my car has only 8,000 miles on it so I want to use it the way it is. When I get back to the states is when I am going to look at building a new block but, for now I will see what this setup will do.

Navyboy916 01-13-2013 12:15 AM

It was confirmed today from the parts manager at Nissan in Guam that my parts are in the air in flight to them will be there for sure on Tuesday. I am so stoked.

Navyboy916 01-17-2013 02:24 AM

I just talked to the Nissan manager today that the parts are here on Guam and installation will start tomorrow I will be posting a lot of pics of the parts being unpacked

Navyboy916 01-17-2013 07:12 PM

I went to Nissan today and here are some pics of the motor being reassembled with the JUN cams, upgraded valves, valves springs, titanium retainers, and five angle valve job, and other parts installed (BC coilovers) or to be installed (upgraded 7AT torque converter) on the car. I also received my upgraded flex plate as well. The heads were attached to the block today along with the cosworth head gaskets and the arp L19 head bolts. Waiting to go on the car is my nst pulley set, stillen transmission cooler, hks spark plugs, z1 motorsports engine and transmission urethane mounts. On monday the tech said hopefully by the end of the day the motor should be dropped back in the car. Fingers are crossed:happydance::tup:

I went to Nissan today to check on the status of the motor being reassembled. The back plate, timing chains and front plate were all installed. The tech was working on installing the dc motors for the VVEL before I lifted. He also installed the NST crank pulley. I took a pic of the inside of one of the dc motors so you can see what it looks like inside (sorry for the blurriness). By weds the motor is going to be back in the car and on friday the motor will be started for the first time. All gaskets and seals are also being replaced as the motor is put back together.

GaleForce 01-21-2013 07:46 AM

Nice progress!

billas 370z 01-22-2013 04:36 AM

That is some serious mods. Me likey.

Navyboy916 01-22-2013 04:48 AM

Yes it is I didn't want to just slap a turbo or supercharger on it and be like everyone else even though I know I won't make as much power I don't care it's still going to be sweet

Mike 01-22-2013 06:59 AM

looking good!

Navyboy916 01-22-2013 07:21 AM

Went to Nissan again today and saw the motor had not been put in the car yet but almost everything was put back together on the motor including the headers. The tech said the motor was going into the car the first thing in the morning cause still had to change out the torque converter and the flex plate which he was doing when I left the shop. I will be taking the oil to him tomorrow morning and as you can see from the pics I have the Z1 motorsports mounts installed on the motor and both NST pulleys also on the motor. Both valve covers were already installed and he said the M370 manifold will be reinstalled when the motor is fully attached and all hoses and lines are reconnected. We are still planning on friday to start the vehicle and for that a video will be taken. Stay Tuned.......

Update: went to Nissan again today and behold the motor is back in the car. There is alot of work to be done but the wiring harness is attached. The motor mounts fit perfectly in the engine bay thanks to Z1 motorsports. The motor was reattached to the transmission along with the upgraded torque converter and flex plate. Tomorrow is the day that the motor will be started. I am so excited I will be recording the startup. STAY TUNED .......:happydance:

simota1 01-24-2013 03:14 AM

Lol for hitting F5 so many times. After lunch we installed the trans cooler and due to the size of the hoses provided from Stillen I have to contact them and find put which clamp to use. Also, when we started the car the k&n oil filter of course started leaking so I have picked up a napa oil filter which I know works cause I have used it so, tomorrow we will install the new oil filter and fix this trans cooler issue and that's it. Here's a shot of the oil and trans cooler. Sorry for the delay but a build like this will have some small issues and luckily I will have them all fixed tomorrow. Sorry again guys

GaleForce 01-25-2013 07:09 AM

Take your time. Get it right

Navyboy916 01-25-2013 07:12 AM

That's what we are doing. It did sound so sick when we started it up for those few seconds. Very deep tone and great sound from the exhaust

Chuck33079 01-25-2013 07:18 AM

I'm sure I missed it somewhere in the thread, but you've got a tuner in Guam or are you emailing uprev data logs and having them email the tune to you?

Navyboy916 01-25-2013 07:24 AM

Email to uprev

gbrettin 01-25-2013 08:30 AM

ts-c63 01-25-2013 09:07 AM
