Awesome!

How does taking all this wiring out work with the cars computer and voltage regulation. Do you need a new ecm or reprogramming in order for the car not to react negatively to reduction of wiring/things plugged in?

There's no problems at all. Voltage is actually happier cause there's less things to power. Actually easier on the battery, especially when your running a lighter battery.

There's nothing that has to be reprogramed. Most of the wiring I am reducing at the moment is the airbag system and rear defroster. I'm about to start on the heatercore/ AC unit now. Just make sure you don't short out wires together. This is the part that takes time.

Looking good Spohn. You and Shamu should have a competition on who has the lightest car.

GaleForce 12-30-2012 05:29 PM

That's how you do it!

We have to be close especially since he has a SC that adds weight. Still that in itself makes up for a lot. I really want to see where it's at but I'm going to wait till I get my clutch in in a few weeks.

Barber or Roebling Road. Possibly Little Talladega if you can.

SPOHN 12-31-2012 01:34 PM

Took 90% of the sound deadening out with dry ice. Dry Ice works great for this. Took 5 minutes.

Sorry if someone asked before but is there a reason why your front bumper is in 3 pieces?

And who did you get the sunline skirts from?

The STILLEN Fascia is produced that way. Most people opt to have the seams molded in to give the fascia a single piece appearance.

I need to start looking for all these places that host local events. But at the same time I'd rather spend money going further tracks.

Mike 01-01-2013 07:42 PM

I used to do that, but now I like to stay closer to home. so much easier and cheaper. The only distance one I want to go to is COTA, and maybe NOLA

SPOHN 01-01-2013 08:18 PM

I just want to hit VIR if anything.

Mike 01-01-2013 08:23 PM

Its a great track, you definitely need to go at least once.

daisuke149 01-01-2013 08:31 PM

yall are making me itch for one now...

wonder how it'll do on the first one.

It will do fine. Don't worry. Brake fluid and pads. OH, red key too.

Mike 01-01-2013 08:42 PM

probably will be fine on stock pads and fluid. I've seen others at the track with no mods on new mustangs.

daisuke149 01-01-2013 08:43 PM

Ill prolly give Carbotech a call regardless and have an extra set waiting.

not a bad call. Definitely no need to swap rears though.

The Mustang pads are a slight tweak on the DS2500 compound, which is pretty aggressive.

I'm jealous. I would love to hit Road Atlanta again. Such a fast fun track...

You guys should come up to a Mid-Ohio event sometime. :)

How about the Posi-Quiets that you get as "OEM Replacement" pads from the Z1 upgrades? As far as normal driving is concerned they are great... Just wondering about there track vitality? I was considering getting a set of XP8's for track days/events..
