It's looking good man! Are you ever planning on going to any of the Orlando meets? I would love to see the car in person.

Money, not enough of it!!!! I still need to get some track rims and tires, like you said 18's. I am tapped out for a while. Will do more after deployment, when I have some money in my pocket..

At lest she lets you mod, I got a Auto Shift Knob from Official UAM Auto Shift Knob Group Buy. with my wife's name engraved in it. It got here the same day as the tires. As she yells at me I show her the engraved knob. No more arguing. I have nothing else to do that with, no more modding for awhile..

Zoren said there was talk about a wrenchen meet some were. Florida guys getting together and installing some stuff for people. I'm okay with that, just looking for the thread. Not sure were it would go but I am game for a visit to Orlando.

Default Got Some stuff

This weekend is a good one...

I got my WhiteLine Sway Bars from xdeslitx. Used this DIY Link:http://www.the370z.com/diy-section-d...tion-rear.html and http://www.the370z.com/diy-section-d...ion-front.html to mount it all. Drives like a dream...

Also got some UMA fenders and KellyFields sold me his Amuse Rear Bumper and side skirts.. Can't wait to get it cleaned up and mounted. Don't know if I will paint it or wrap it. Never painted a car, I guess there is always a first time..

Talking Front Sway Bar install

Well, I tackled the rear yesterday, it was a pain using jack stands.. My buddy was off so the shop was closed, no lift!!!! I used this DIY to do the rear, it didn't take to long, used air tools and took the some stuff apart to get the sway bars out and in. I didn't take pictures sorry, it was dark out and raining like hell...
http://www.the370z.com/diy-section-d...tion-rear.html

1. 12mm socket to remove the rear frame brace.
2. I had to disconnect the back end exhaust to get clearance to pull the sway out.
3. Once that was all removed, I used 14mm socket and end wrench to remove the mounting bolts, and end links. Easy day, put it all together in reverse order.
4. I used the middle hole for a medium setting on the rear. Will adjust from there if needed.

So,
Here is the front. Pictures say a thousand words:

Settings Chart from Whiteline:

Okay ready to do this.. Unbolt mounting points (14mm), then end links (19mm wrench, 17mm Socket.
Use a 19mm end wrench to secure the back side of the sway bar end link before hitting it with a 17mm socket and impact gun.

Disclaimer : Make sure your impact gun is set to rotate in the right direction. 550 to 650 ponds of pressure will strip out the end link..

Might have to use a swivel to get driver side off. Clearance is limited for a bulky impact gun. But dam it makes the job go quick..

Pull the old sway bar out and bolt up the new in the same order you removed the old one. You are reusing the mounting bolts unless your kit came with all the hard wear. If you ask what the torque specs are I'll tell you " Really Tight By Hand".

Disclaimer: Turn down you air settings on the impact gun when mounting your bolts. You don't want to snap the treads off.

Now just button up the plastic and take it for a spin...

Drives link a dream happydance::ha ppydance:

The material he used was way thicker and did not seem user friendly plus he added the matting. All in all I don't think the weight will inhibit forced induction install so I am happy with it..
Thanks for the shout out Nut_N_Much, glad we could help!

Default Mirrors

Mirrors,
Okay her it goes. I hate the flat mirrors on our cars. Thats about all I hate, just the mirrors. I didn't want to spend money on a light weight race mirrow, when I already have killer blind spots. So here is what I did:ZOOM Engineering Blue Side View Mirrors - 370Z

KamiSpeed has some inserts that are concave to give a wider view. So I went for it!!!
Directions, driver side mirror is flat, passenger is a little concave, not much.

The kit cam with 2 sided tape and two high end pieces of blue ice glass. They are mounted using the 2 sided tape, perfectly shaped, they fit inside the plastic trim holding the stock glass.

This is what I see now with stock mirrors.

2 Sided tape:

I put some painters tape to hold the glass to position it:

Clean look so far:

Damn what a difference, I have the mirror adjusted all the way out and i still see the rear for the car.

Just came back from Kellys and I don't have to break my neck looking to see if I'm going to hit anyone before changing lanes. Well spent money, nice look to the car too.
kellyefields and EverGreatest like this.

I like those much more clean than the spot mirrors we have.

I have been trying to get my wife to drive the car more often. She doesn't want to because of the blind spots. I thought these mirrors would be a hard sell but when I showed her she said get them..

I have been sick in bed since Saturday and she has driven the car every day. As long as she doesn't destroy the front pulling in to far to a space I'm okay with it.
She loves the mirrors, my picture doesn't do justice to them, they really open the field of view. Besides the sway bars I think its a good investment but the price should be lower for 2 pieces of shaped glass.

That looks really good man! I just have my mirrors bugles out enough do that sitting in my normal position, I can barely see the back off my car, and the rest of the mirror shows what would otherwise be my blind spot. It's still annoying though, I still lean forward and check to be sure before I change lanes. These might have to be a purchase later on down the road!
