Right now it's just a lot of staring at them as they sit wrapped in my garage... Very sad. I'm still waiting to get my OEM black suede door inserts to match the seats. They should be delivered on Monday.

On another note I really want to get me steering wheel wrapped in black suede with a flat bottom. I asked Tony at carbon fiber element but he can't do it. Anyone have suggestions?

I'm also debating on what my next mod should be. Part of me wants to buy the amuse harness/ brace bar and part of me wants to go with some sort of air suspension (either cups or bag). I'll make my mind up soon. I just need to see if Nissan is gonna charge me anything for repairs.

simota1 10-19-2013 08:12 PM

dude where did u find the oem inserts in suede?

A guy on the forum turning his car into a track car. I'd been talking to him a while via text.

GaleForce 10-19-2013 10:31 PM

Try these guys for the steering wheel. They do a lot of cars that show at SEMA. Welcome to JPM Coachworks | Automovie Design for Subaru, Honda, BMW & More -- Proudly Made In The USA

Maybe I'm missing something, I'm pretty sure Tony does Alcantra on the sides with flat bottom, unless you want the 'whole' wheel?

Hoping to do that over winter

I think that might be him.

I think Tony can do it if you want carbon fiber in the wheel. I didn't want any carbon fiber.

Thanks Mark for all of your help. You've been a big part of getting my car to look how I want it to.

good news everyone. My car is officially back in working order and Nissan NA paid for everything. Its been a long 2 months, but i finally get my car back on Friday just in time for Import Alliance Nashville this weekend.

The good news is, since I didnt have to pay Nissan I have some spare cash for mods... im thinking maybe something for my suspension or the Amuse Brace/ Harness Bar.

TheGreatOne 10-22-2013 02:34 PM

Nice, bet you are itching for Friday to get here

If you are only on H&R springs I'd say go suspension and get a proper coilover, made a big difference in my ride. If not, with the seats you now have, that Amust bar would be pretty boss, can't go wrong either way.

Punk86 10-22-2013 10:50 PM

Wish I could make it to nashville this weekend! :/

Well, a couple buddies and I installed my seats and a few other parts Friday night. A few of which were engine bay parts. Here is a pic of a "close to final product" I still need to get the PWJDM covers in carbon to finish it off. I'm in Nashville now for IA and will post pics of the seats soon.

simota1 10-26-2013 11:31 PM

bay looks fugin sick dude!!!! great job love the hoses.... :)

Mr&Mrs 10-27-2013 07:10 AM

Awesome bro, just awesome!

GaleForce 10-27-2013 07:21 AM

Looks great! Now let's see those seats :yum:

For your covers... Get the stock ones wrapped. The Password JDM fit like crap (the rad cover). And the finish isn't very nice on them either.

simota1 10-27-2013 07:54 AM

may i suggest zele cooling plate and cfe covers up top... ;)

Here a pic I just took of the seats.

Ron 10-27-2013 07:06 PM

Nice! What dress up bolts are those?

GaleForce 10-27-2013 07:16 PM

Looking good. Is there red stitching on the lower part? Is that the seat protector?

Yeah. The red stitching is part of the leather seat protectors. Definitely worth the investment.

So we installed the seats on Friday in about 2 hours. Then I drove 4 hours to Nashville Saturday morning. I'm surprised how comfortable the seats actually are. I'm 5'9, 165lbs.

I've seen the Zele cooling plate, but I've never seen the CFE compartment covers. Are the PWJDM compartment covers as bad as the radiator covers?

Hey Gale, did you wrap your stock radiator cover?

yes... if you want to run them with the shitty gelcoat i think ul be ok.... but since i cleared mine to take care of the shitty gelcoat because it hits when you close the hood.... the clear coat is cracking on the covers.... :shakes head: im so irritated at them.. ill have them recleared for a 3rd time but if they do this again imma fugin burn them.... :icon17:

simota1 10-28-2013 02:46 PM

after i burn them imma get cfe covers :shakes head:

i am also hoping in this years tokyo auto saloon they will break out more parts for our z's which i am hoping will be engine compartment covers and cooling plates....

also if you dont like the zele i think ing's just released a cooling plate also... i am not sure how it looks but vivid listed it in the jdm greatness thread i believe or it might have been in the brand new aero ing's

Joe@ZSpeed 10-28-2013 03:05 PM

That is the "Right" color! I thought to myself when you ordered the purple hoses... But man that looks great!

the red z1 hoses? Yeah, they are in great shape. Marks from the hose clamps, but you'll use them as well so you wont be able to tell.

speedfreek 10-28-2013 03:51 PM

I didn't know that was your ride. I drooled over it for quite some time at IA. Definitely the most legit 370Z there. Super clean!

Thanks man! Did you bring your Z? I have to say my top two cars were the Chase Bay FRS and the matte grey rx7. I guess they were in the sponsor section for a reason, damn those were nice.

Yep the matte grey rx7 is from the Birmingham area. He caravaned to IA with us as he hangs out with the local Z club alot and tracked it at Barber for Z Nationals. He got the cover of the Modified magazine last month with his other FD build. 1993 Mazda RX-7 - Built In Bama - Modified Magazine It is nasty for sure. Some nice stuff in the sponser section, I just wanted to get to ride in the Ariel Atom.

I brought mine but we were parked on the complete opposite side of the stadium backed up to the gas station.
