It's from a custom shop in CA called DCT Motor Sports. Ive been talking to them for a month or so, i may be able to work out a group buy if a few people are interested. Send me a PM if you are and i can tell you the base price.

GaleForce 03-18-2014 09:11 AM

Count me in. :tiphat:

Wiggins3377 03-18-2014 09:20 AM

i sent an email to them 15 minutes ago, if they respond positively I’ll post an interest thread.

I've never been a fan of vanity plates, but I'm about to pay $800 for two years of registration and figured I should make it feel like I got something unique for that kind of money. What does everyone think? Apparently it's available in KY.

I like that. Could you change the plate style though? Maybe a little bit of an anniversary gray taste?

Ya I noticed that when I went out there for a work thing once. Some people work in Ohio and live in Kentucky and vice versa.

I like the plate!

A lot of updates today, but after a long two weeks away for work I finally started making progress on my car. I've run all the airline for the cup kit at this point. Just need to do the electrical part. Here's a teaser.

Yeah, I really want to know how good those cups work on there. That might be an upgrade I need to make.. not to be a copycat but that would be awesome to DD and then drop like its hot for racing on the weekends. I dunno.. that and actually being able to get it on a lift. lol Looks good. I looked up the thing this weekend on the waterfront. I am doing a 10 mile race same day so don't know if I will make it. Pancakes and pizza after the race. Heading to Lexington on Sunday for some autoX if you would like to come along though. :-)

Hmmm:confused: i think a civic could get away with that but not JDM Z34:roflpuke2:

GaleForce 03-19-2014 05:11 PM

I'm sure it temporary.

Wiggins3377 03-19-2014 09:01 PM

Cleaned up the trunk a bit and tested the suspension again. For some reason I'm getting a leak in the front. I checked all the airline and connections and I can't figure it out. I'm hoping it's the threaded inlet to the cup, I bought some sealant tape and I'm going to try that tomorrow. I'll keep everyone updated. On a side note I got my temp wheels on... the gold looks pretty good.

Yeah. A little too slammed. I don't think I'll be able to get the cup kit working before my first show this weekend so it's gotta go back up a little.

Look at it this way, it gives you time to get those other parts powder coated for your car. Which will look bitching BTW.

Thorazine_IM 03-23-2014 02:59 AM

The only thing about working on cars is that every time you do a project there's always something that comes up. Its never a smooth one.

Thanks guys. I was able to actually make it to the show yesterday. I'll try to find some pics and post them. I gotta tell you, I'm not hating the gold wheels, they just need spacers and they'd be about perfect!!

Here are a few iPhone pics of the parts I finally had a chance to install this week. What do you guys think of the gold wheels? I need to add the spacers to the back, but I'm honestly not hating the color.

Other pics include the Takata harnesses and tow strap, painted headlights and the TS strut bar. Beside the cup kit not working right I had issues with the fitment of the CFE cooling plate, I think I need to trim alittle around where the latches are, so for now I'm switching it out at shows.

Hopefully this week I'll be able to get the cup kit working right. I'll also be sending a few parts to Mike the Powdercoater to get a color update.

Yeah, I think the bar really compliments the purple accent color. It's wasn't planned that way, but couldn't be happier with it.

Mr&Mrs 03-23-2014 08:31 PM

You have one of the best engine bays period. The gold looks nice but not great IMO. Draws to much attention away from the beautiful color of the 40th.

FairladyZ10PG 03-23-2014 10:31 PM

How do you like the seats? I'm considering getting one in the summer and want to know if they're comfortable enough for everyday driving.

Wiggins3377 03-24-2014 07:21 AM

I got an update on the steering wheel group buy, they said they would offer 15% off and they currently have 5 wheels in stock to begin fabrication, lead time is about a month. Ill be posting an interest thread once I get a base price from them. Sent me a message if your interested.

Just saw the ADVAN on the car ...... NICE !

speedfreek 03-26-2014 09:45 PM

IMO a deep bronze wheel like the work meisters would compliment the 40th better. I like the gold wheels but the bronze I think would be spot on.
