Nice.

Now I need to find one.

Are you willing to sell your factory strut bar?

OMGWTFBBQ 02-22-2014 08:09 PM

I hate you!

I hadn't thought about selling the OEM bar... I was thinking about keeping it since it has the 40th badge, but I guess I'd sell it. Are you interested?

Depending on price. Yes. I don't need the 40th badge though. Do you know if it's removable?

I'll check it out. I really don't know how the emblem is attached.

I still need the TS exhaust!! As well as that brace bar cover, but that is on the way.

Punk86 had a lead on the strut bar. He didn't want it so I jumped on it.

Phdpsy 02-23-2014 12:27 PM

That is nice

OMGWTFBBQ 02-23-2014 12:56 PM

Let us know if there are any fitment issues!

His has been modified to fit.

Wiggins3377 02-23-2014 05:58 PM

Well we ran into issues with coilover number 4 (front driver side). For some reason we couldn't get the bolt from the end link to go through the bottom of the coil. Any one have suggestions? I though maybe it was because the coils are shorter than the stock strut, but we also had issues getting then stock strut off. I'm honestly lost on this one.

That being said I won't be able to put the strut bar on until I get the issue fixed, which will be next weekend at the earliest.

Same thing happened to me... I think I ended up using a jack to jack up the perch and pusueing it in... I think the trick is to put both at the same time. If you get one side done and in then it makes the other side a complete pain because of the sway bar. Also with the height adjustment is a little bit of a pain. I have the initial settings done but they are a little off... I have my dampers set to full hard (the knobs at the top). I wish I had the air cups on mine because its totally different on the ride heoght and my lip scrapes everywhere. I think you will be impressed with them. Let me know how it goes...

You can also do a step drill and some snap in grommets on the rear pannels for adjustment... I just pulled all my pannels out though.

I had a similar issue on my passenger side. My sway bar moved and got everything out of wack. I'm not on my A game right now so this may not have anything to due with your question lol.

I'm picking up a set of 2014 Nismo wheels as my temps until I get my new Works. I think the color will look good with my 40th. These will be back on sale in a month or two. Hit me up if you're interested. I'll be keeping the tires though.

Slight change in plans. The guy I was supposed to get the nismo wheels from was being a complete DB, so I talked to Mark at RavSpec and I'm getting these instead. I've never seen gold on a 40th, but it can't be that much different from bronze. I'll be posting them for sale as soon as I get them. If you're interested let me know, obviously I won't sell them until I get my Works.

Dang little small but I will think about it. I love those wheels and have wanted to switch things up.

chknhawk 03-01-2014 12:00 PM

My lip scrapes on the gr+. I think im going to adjust a little bit on the height though. Its a little too low for functionality.

Do you have any pics with the current drop? I'd love to see them. I'm obviously gonna drop it pretty aggressively given the ability to raise the car.

Do you plan on going to water by the bridge?

I'm sure we both know things that we don't know, but what I don't know is if you really don't know, what I think, you think I know. Ya know?

No man just checking out future updates on the lip which we sold him:icon17:

Mr&Mrs 03-05-2014 01:19 AM

Well poop

chknhawk 03-05-2014 04:54 PM

They can go way lower.. only problem is getting them off the jack/jackstands after you finish lowering them all the way. They will pretty much slam the car if you want. I have to adjust rubber and then see. but I am looking for an aggressive track/street stance. I dont like scraping that much. I will update once I get the adjustments made.... and AUTOX pics in about 2 weeks.

A little teaser from CFE. They re wrapped a low quality product from a well know parts company for me ;). Altered it a little as well. Should have this for the first show of the season on 3/22.

Just went through the thread - very exciting build to follow.

You have been going absolutely bananas on your 40th and it's paying off! Excited to see what's next!
