Default shadoquad's Black Cherry Z (Chiana)

TLDR version (mod list): OEM fog lamp (with OEM interior switch), Touring pedals, Injen long tube Cold Air Intakes, TWM Leopard A6 shift knob, premium floor mats, Custom one-off Leather seats and door cards, GTR start button, Z1 25-row Setrab oil cooler, Z1 Akebono BBK brake package (Z Nationals 2011 raffle prize) with 40th red calipers and slotted rotors, Stainless Steel brake lines, Motul hi temp brake fluid, Hawk HPS brake pads, z plate frames and valve stem caps, Forgestar F14 wheels (19x9, 19x10), Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires (245, 275)

So, at long last, Chiana is nearly done. I've decided to finally post pictures and descriptions of what I've had done in my first year of ownership.

Here is a pic from day 1.

I started with a 3M clear bra and tint job. The tint is 35 all around, the clear bra is on the front bumper, front of the hood, parts of the front quarterpanels and head lights, as well as on the mirrors, a-pillars, and the front of the roof. I had this done at D&L Tinting.

My very next mod was the rear fog lamp. I've never liked the plastic placeholder, so I immediately went and bought the OEM Nissan rear fog lamp. I had this installed at AAM Competition. I later bought a Nissan rocker switch to control it.

Here are a few pics of that.

I then took a break for a while, but then bought m4a1mustang's Injen Cold Air Intakes.

And, disappointed with the look of black rubber pedals with a chrome dead pedal, I bought and installed Jeffblue's touring pedals. This install was disastrous from a cost standpoint, as I sheared some bolts and had to have AAM drill new holes for new bolts, but I think they look fantastic.

During winter, my mother and I designed a custom interior, including seats and door cards. I decided while that was in progress to buy some other nice bits for my interior. I bought a GTR Start Button, Premium Floor Mats, a Z License Plate Frame, and a gunmetal TWM shift knob. We pulled the seats out first, and she re-upholstered them with two-tone leather, and with a stitching pattern inspired by the Bugatti Veyron SS. While the seats were out, I installed the button, floor mats, custom shift boot leather, and shift knob.

Here are photos of the finished product:

So, I drove 2theextreme's Smurf down to Z Nationals, and while I was there, I won a raffle for an upgrade to an akebono big brake kit.

Working with Dustin@Z1, I received my parts a few weeks back, which included:
40th red 4-piston calipers
14" slotted rotors
Z1 Stainless Steel brake lines

I also bought brake fluid and Hawk HPS pads.

Yesterday, at Kirkster's Garage, he and I installed them on Chiana.

It took a bit longer than we thought it would, but in the end, the brakes work wonderfully and look fantastic.

After the brakes, I installed a Z1 25-row Setrab Oil Cooler, with help from MightyBobo and XwChriswX. And then I put some new wheels and rubber on the car. I upgraded from the stock base wheels to 19X9, 19X10 wheels and higher performance tires.

Forgestar F14's with Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tires.

Looks like the Shadonkadonk will be riding more comfortably and in style now. I give you the official stamp of exclusiveness

Jeffblue and I worked out a deal. he bought pedal covers, so I gave him mine to drill into, and I bought his for 150 or so (i forget exactly).

They are just the standard touring pedals.

You can do the install yourself. There's a DIY thread posted by Kenchan.

Unfortunately, either there was too much Loctite on the bolts, or it was too cold when I uninstalled them, or some combination of the two, and I sheared the bolts. So, the install was more expensive for me than the pedals.

If you do it yourself or have a shop do it, it won't cost much. It's just removing a few bolts and the throttle cable from the accelerator, mainly. The brake and clutch pedals are slip-on rubber fronts.

I wish the door panels were taut, but I'm sure this is one of those situations where it's very hard to capture how good looking it is in pictures.

It's also incredibly difficult to get them taut. But they look good padded in person.
