Thanks. It really does. I turned so many heads today, it was funny.
I'd also like to add that the car drives alot better though. Seems smoother through the RPM range. |
Picked these up today
Well I finally got tired of my tiny base model brakes. So I went and picked up some Akebono/ Nissan sport brakes from Z1. I have to tell you they have the best pricing hands down on these products. Plus they offer several options with the kit. I ended up getting slotted rotors, Z1's SS lines, and Hawks HP+ pads. Which are a aggressive street/ track pads. I felt these would be a great option for what I'm going for.
It will probably be a couple weeks before I get to install these. So stay tuned. http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/...tbrakes002.jpg http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/...tbrakes005.jpg http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/...tbrakes004.jpg http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/...tbrakes003.jpg |

That's what I'm planning also. Hope to meet you again?
|
Excited to see how the brakes look. I'm thinking about picking up the same set with the slotted rotors.
|
I might be able to get them on this weekend. My rear pads had to be drop shipped to me. Hopefully they'll be here in time. Next Monday I'm getting Uprev tuned along with my OS Giken LSD. So it's going to be a great next week.

New Upgraded Sport Brakes
More updates. Upgraded to the sport brakes but with slotted rotors, SS brakes lines, and Hawks HP+ pads for some more serious stop power on and off the the track. Also stay tuned next week for I'm getting my car tuned with Uprev by Forged Performance along with my OS Giken LSD install. Can't wait. On the path for a great track car.

I try to keep it that way. It's not hard for me though. It's not a DD plus I don't take it out in bad weather.

Uprev Tuned By Forged Perfomance
Here are my results from recent tune. Pretty happy with the results. The car pulls harder and threw the hole range now. If you don't already know Forged Performance uses a Dyno Dynamics dyno which reads lower than some. Earlier in my journal I posted charts of my results from a dyno jet at 289whp with my current mods (before tuned).

Great updates! I love the brakes!

Hood Shocks
Just installed these this past week. Had them on my 350 also. This is a great mod to have IMO. None of that hood prop crap.

And where are the plastic covers? |
I looked where you said, there where holes but they weren't threaded. I guess I could still go back and thread them. I'm doing away with the covers. This car is eventually going to be stripped down. Do you have a pic I could see? The hole I see is also bigger than the little ball and stud I have that came extra with the kit.

Here's another vid of my exhaust on the dyno being wounded out. This is with GTM TP's and Greddy TI-C exhaust with silencers removed.

Here is 2 pic's I was wrong they are not threaded just a hole I put the ball thru it and put a washer and nut from underneath the strut tower. As you can see I drilled the holes for the same bracket you have but didn't use them.

Ok. Yea, that hole is not threaded per say. But The stud I have might thread itself in there. I'll have to see Sunday for it's at my dads house at the moment. I hope this works. Thanks for taking your time to do this. Repped.

3 gets my vote! I like it because the shape of the Z is most clearly defined.
|
I have alot of my pics in the same form as #3 so, ya 3 =)
|
It does show the lines alot better.
|
gorgeous car! awesome work.
|
I like the 1st one. The 3rd one has too many distracting squiggles.
|
Looking great!
|
Thanks. I'm currently trying to stock up on brake rotors and pads for the track. I like keeping the basic in stock. I'll probably let this baby loose in a couple.
