Yeah pretty jealous right now....I get to try and work around in my single car garage. Its a nightmare.
|
It is nice. If you didn't live so far you could come over anytime to do work.
|
Added a block off plate to my oil cooler today. Works perfect now. But with the GA summer coming (because it seems we skip spring here) it will probably be removed then. For more info on this install check out my DIY link. I also cut away some of the undershroud for easy removal or added more air flow if needed. You will also see in some of the pics the little blue prybar I'll use to assist if I had to lower the plate on the go for more airflow. Plus you will need gloves for it does get pretty hot. Aslo I will be painting/ powder coating this flat black.

nice work!

Are you going to paint the block off plate to make it a bit less conspicuous? I am extremely jealous of your lift set up by the way!

Small Update
I got around to drilling some holes in my rear panels for easy adjustments to the rear dampeners on my coilovers. Then just installed a couple of rubber garments to give it a little better look. Here you go.

Stay tuned soon. I should be ordering late next week a sport brake kit with Carbotech pads, OS Giken LSD (a must), and Uprev.
|
Picked up a Z1 stainless steel clutch line
|
^^ good purchase, out of the manual 370's i've driven, i could feel a difference in the one i drove that had it (Dai's), granted i didn't drive it before he got it installed. helps modulate the clutch much better imo

Dyno Results
Here is my best run dyno results from a week ago at an event we southeast guys had. Would like to get an Uprev shortly. That way I could smooth out (lower)the A/F a little more. I also believe there dyno was running a little off that day. I was seeing some wierd things that day. But no big deal. I'm getting my car tuned at Forged in two weeks. See what happens there.

nice bro!!!!!!!! keep it up!!!
|
I plan to.
Just ordered a OS Giken LSD. Will be installed in two weeks. |
Just ordered a Uprev today from Forged Performance. They will be tuning it on April 11 along with the installation of my OS Giken LSD.
Also just odered today the the sport brake upgrade for my car. Being it's a base model. I got a great deal on this being Z1 offers the best pricing hands down on these. I ended up getting some slotted rotors with some more aggresive pads for now. Will be getting some two piece rotors soon enough. I'll have pics later next week. So stay tuned. Here's a link to to the basic brake package I got from Z1. Z1 Akebono Sport Brake Upgrade Package |
Nice man! Akebonos are on my list of things to do this year, I am insanely jealous of your LSD.
|
I like your DIY items =)

Cause the OS Giken is a bad A$$ upgrade too. But with the extra parts (oil, bearings, axle stubs and seals) puts it past 2K.

Pics Of My Silencers Removed
Well after some thought I decided to remove my silencers from my Greddy exhaust. As I've stated before, I love anthing that has to do with an exhaust being loud and raspy. That's me. Plus I like the way they look now without the small holes. Was pretty simple after I found the correct tool to pull them out. Pretty sure it will be sweet. Plus it will free up a little HP. Sad thing I didn't start her up yet. I will tomorrow though. Time for my personal inspection I like to do.
Before (this is with the tips removed) http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/...ilencer001.jpg Silencers Themselves http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/...ilencer005.jpg After with tips back on http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/...ilencer007.jpg |
That looks alot better for sure. I would like to hear some sound clips =)
|
I'll try to get some tomorrow. Been crazy busy lately.
|
yeah look better now, how much sound difference is there with and without these
|
I'm not sure yet. I haven't cranked the car up yet. I got them pulled and I had to take my son out for his B-day. But I'll have more reviews and hopefully a vid also.

The biggest problem I am finding with the open diff is that when I am trying to go diagonally into a parking lot or driveway to avoid scraping, the inside wheel lifts and I literally cannot even get up over that incline since the wheel just spins and spins. Scary in traffic! |

I can't wait to give a good review on this. Forged Performance loves them on there two GTR's. |
