Does that clamp have rubberized grips to keep from scratching your hawt paint job?

Looks like you're locked and loaded my friend!

The material is pretty soft but so is the paint. But it's on now I shouldn't have to keep taking it off and on.

anthonyy 02-19-2012 12:21 PM

I would love to drive your car :driving:

HKYStormFront 02-20-2012 12:50 AM

excellent sir!

Harnesses went in tody but will have to take pics tomorrow. Been a long day. Thanks for all the comments.

First I lowered my race seats ( driver side only for now). It was defiantly too high. Not sure if that's a Recaro thing or just the particular brackets they use for my particular seat.

Then I install my harnesses. Which required drilling threw the bottom floor board and tranny hull. Believe it or not that took all day. Especially when your race seat is in a fixed postion now and is not adjustable. But hey that saves weight not having sliders. Lol. I'll probably do the passenger side next.

Sliders are probably a weak point in a wreck anyways, good move to ditch em :)

Thanks. Most people do like gloss. I've always been about a flat/ matte kind of guy. Same reason I only wear greys and blacks. I am mostly color blind so guess it's always been natural for me. Can't wait til the day comes to paint the car in some for form of matte.

Carbon Fiber Element. A vendor here on the forum.

Mike 03-10-2012 05:34 PM

I like the flat carbon too and I'm not colorblind! The glossy is just too flashy for me.

SPOHN 03-10-2012 05:47 PM

Mike. How did your day go at RA? I wanted to go. I ended up helping someone move.

Mike 03-10-2012 05:48 PM

really well. NASAs level 4 HPDE is open passing without pointby's anywhere on the track, it was pretty fun!

SPOHN 03-10-2012 05:51 PM

ohhhhh yea

ZForce 03-11-2012 12:58 AM

I was looked into CFE awhile back, I believe they are priced competitively. Thanks I will have to contact them for the price on the same pieces you had done. :tiphat:

KB2 03-12-2012 06:57 PM

370ZilverZ 03-12-2012 07:04 PM

That flat carbon looks nice. Can't wait to see all of the install pics with hood vents too.

Very happy with my numbers. Highest HP run was 309whp with 252wtq. I also pulled a 307whp with 263wtq. That's some good TQ numbers IMO. That was SAE numbers.
