It's like me having the hypermax 3's on my GTR and asking owners here to see if they have it on their Z and can give some feedback. Different weight, different power, different purpose, which can result in different characteristics when pushed hard, even though I've experienced it on another car.

He's had them on his GT-R and previous Z so he has an idea about the brand's quality.
Alex, you do sound obsessive-compulsive. Ha ha. In the last post you start by saying "maybe I'll buy them" to two paragraphs later saying "I'm definitely buying" (well maybe exactly in this words). LOL. In my opinion, if you want to lower the car and are concerned about performance, quality of ride and a balance between shock and spring, then coilovers are the way to go. Afterwards, get your car corner balanced once you find the desired ride height...it'll greatly improve handling for sure. ![]() $1500 CDN is a decent price too.

There's a lot of KW V3 and Tein MonoFlex fans here. A little pricier but really good quality. You could argue that they are more race/competition oriented but I don't find my Teins too harsh for daily driving.

Im saying Powertrix in my opinion are better then KW and HKS. I have both sets on my car and test on track and on the road. I feel that Powertrix is better. They have a huge presence in the 300z community. Ask Rick at VIP STATUS he has em on his car and a few other members also.

Oh well if I don't like the T1R's, I'll go buy the Hypermax 3's.

Alright...here it is. T1R coilovers installed. I borrowed the hoist in a friend's shop and installed the coilovers, the Stillen G3 Intake, and the EVO-R CF rear diffuser.
The coilovers was straight forward to install. You'll see a few pics at the bottom of this post. I lowered the car by about 1 1/2 inches front and rear. Got rid of the gap. After I get my CF kit and my aggressive wheels, I may lower it even more to achieve the stance I want, and then corner balance. Sorry I don't have any pics DURING the installs as my hands were greasy and dirty...didn't want to hold my camera like that. My first impression of these coilovers...well first of all, I have it adjusted to full stiff setting. It's just beginning the break in process, but initial thoughts are that these are great street coilovers. Easy for carving the corners, and with full acceleration the nose doesn't dip much. With the dramatically decreased body roll, the car reacts to left / right change of direction very fast. It makes the car a lot more responsive. Over bumps and rocks, it's very apparent. However it doesn't hop or jump. It swallows up the small bumps. Lets you know that it's there, but takes care of it. I like that. With some sway bars, this would be a great back road carving machine. I'm loving it. Stillen G3 Intakes - GODDAMN that was a pain in the *** to install. Took me a good 3 hours to install. I got it done without removing the front strut brace, but it would have made it a lot easier with it off. It has a little growl after 3k rpms. There is also a pretty apparent "punch" after 4k rpms. I didn't expect this much difference on the butt dyno. Pleasant surprise. $300 slightly used made this a great bang for the buck mod. Rear CF diffuser - Fits pretty well. Wish it was just ever so slightly longer to fit perfectly into the groove. To keep it on, instead of drilling through the bumper and the diffuser, I used window silicone. This puppy ain't going anywhere. Looks great! Oh and as a bonus...my parts from VIP Status finally came in! Well just the HKS Hi-Power exhaust and MXP resonated test pipes, and the H&R springs which I'm going to be selling. My CF kit did not arrive for some reason... ![]() Before: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() After: ![]() ![]()

Hey Alex, looking good man!!
You're probably already aware, just thought I'd mention it anyway, the G3's are notorious for rubbing through the AC lines. Rubber wrapped around with a zip-tie does the fix.
