Also when wire brushing aluminum. Use a stainless steel wire brush. Use it for aluminum only. If you use a carbon steel brush. It will leave rust marks in the aluminum after a few days. If you use a stainless steel brush that has been used on a different metal. It too will leave rust marks. The particles from the brush will imbed into the aluminum. That what causes the rust.
