Could have done an electric dump or boost actuated dump for a fraction of the price. BUT... his exhaust is new, I'm sure it will look good.
I have exhaust hardware if you need it, bolts and gaskets. Just drive down and pick it up... just bring the other 370z hood. ;) (Ill swing up for the hood if you are doing the vbands) |

I'm literally going to hack the hood up. Fair warning!

Are you swapping just the cans or did you find a whole 3” exhaust? |

How are you planning to make the transition from the downpipe? Get it refabricated? |

Does he make a 3” adapter? I don’t know anything about his exhaust connections other than the factory setup because I had to custom fab mine since G. I had the kit shipped with the OEM connections cuz everything from the radiator to the tail end of the y-pipe on a Z/G are identical. The FI is exhaust is not the same from header to lead pipes, so I had to get it fabbed. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d12d28f57a.jpg |

How sweet it is |
Mr. Gbrettin and friend stopped by today to pick up EW's janky hood. They renewed the spark in the Z so I took the old girl out for a last spin before winter hibernation. She looks, sounds and feels great.

Put insurance on the car a couple weeks ago and went for a nice cruise around the city. Turbo **** the bed about 300 yds from the house. Ripped the car apart with ZS-carpenter and found the blades had hit the housing. Turbo is sent off to Compturbo for evaluation and fixing. Went to put the FI exhaust on the car and got the wrong part sent from Boosted Performance. Z is on lift back into hibernation. Removed insurance from the Z. :gtfo2:

Well, the first conversation is not off to a good start with Compturbo. This is their response for their **** breaking at 6k miles.
Hi Scott, Sorry for the late reply was out of town Monday and Tuesday just catching up now on emails. We have and disassembled and inspected the turbocharger and it looks like the internals are not usable sadly this was the worst case scenario however we can replace the CHRA it would take about 3 weeks so we can hit that mid June deadline for you. The cost for the CHRA is about $1200.00 give us a call and ask for Ernie if you need more information. Thanks, Juan |

CJM oil pan should be here in a couple of weeks, had the -10AN ports installed for oil fed turbo.

I was never a big fan of those greaseable turbo's. When I was at Elliott TurboMachinery. I've seen grease get cooked and turn into wax and asphalt around bearings. If you are going with a different turbo company. Tell the chitheads that you want the old turbo back, uncleaned. This way you can look at the grease and see what condition it is in.
