Hey madwi. You got screwed. Did you have a smoke afterwards?

That sucks. Is it leaking air?

yeah, I had a couple "smokes" afterwards. It is a few pounds down. I have two extra tires hanging on the rack. Ill take this wheel to the tire shop tomorrow and I need to order a right rear wheel as this one has a good bend in it from a pot hole. Ill toss other good tire on new wheel when it shows up.

That or he's making sure no other dogs are around lol why doesn't he like other dogs?

And looks like his hair is growing back nicely

Its mainly bigger, hyper dogs he dont really like. There is a tiny teacup thing that our friends have and he completely ignores her. Who knows. I think he is just a punk *** like his owner.

Say this again when it is January and -45F here. I may take you up on that. :icon17:

Finally had a chance to wash the car a few times after ceramic coating the car. Mixed up a 1:5 solution of Gyeon Q2 prewash foam and sprayed down the car and let it sit for ~5 minutes per the instructions. Foam stayed on the car very well for the entire time. Rinsed off easily with the pressure washer and 40° nozzle.

Washed the car with Mothers Ceramic care wash in the buckets. Surface is really smooth and the mitt slid over the surface easily. Car dried amazingly well. I rinsed it down with the pressure washer and then just used the hose to flood the surface. There was hardly any water left on the surface, one towel used for dryint the entire car and it was barely damp. Thats a win in my book.

Wiped the car down with Gyeon Cure. You would think this is to cure the base coats but it is akin to a detailing spray. It is used for maintenance, water spots and the likes. A little goes a long way and it can actually be diluted 50:50 with distilled water. One or two spritzes max on a towel and wipe down a door then wipe down with a clean MF towel, move one to next section. Whole car wiped down in 10 minutes.

Ive had a chance to wash it a few times and try out all the products. Washing is dead easy. Process is prewash foam with foam cannon and let dwell 5 minutes and rinse. Wash with mitt and buckets and then spritz a little Wet Coat on as I rinse off with pressure washer. I then use only the hose to flood the panels and the water sheets off very nicely leaving only a couple drops of water.

Sounds like too much work for just washing a car. :icon14:

Same process as always. Not really any faster or anything but looks good with minimal effort.

MattZ034 06-09-2020 02:33 AM

That car looks mint. Congratulations on a great build!

Decided to not be totally lazy today and got rotors and new pads installed on the Z. Washed the wheels and gave them a quick coating of sealant and called it a day.

Took her out for about 50 miles of normal driving per the instructions. Brakes feel really good and firm pedal feel. I have 5 bottles of RBF600 sitting here so I guess I'll change the lines to the ss ones and fill with new fluid in the near future.

You have the proper wrenches for that?

I’m feeling you on the orange calipers, I’d color match the amber in the side markers when illuminated.

Im on prismatic powders website and I ordered 10 swatches. Most of them are orange/copper colored.

I like this one.

Picked up a Raceseng Vision knob in Red Translucent and a Tow hook in black/grey. Swatches from Prismatic powders came in also so I might start looking for a set of calipers I can get powder coated then rebuilt.

I have the next 11 days off so I decided I would start it off by learning to powdercoat. Pretty simple process.
I sprayed a coilover spanner wrench and gave it a shot of racing red from Prismatic. I really like this color up next to magma.

The color swatch and the color that the wrench turned out are spot on matches. Hope the other colors are the same.

Do you have F.I. 2.5" exhaust?

I do, with SS cans, non-res version.

Hotrodz 08-21-2020 11:10 AM

You will get better performance from the 3" exhaust but the 2.5" is louder and sounds better in my opinion. No much better and mostly just different in pitch and tone!
