Yeah, Im not a fan of them at all. :icon17:

Have you talk to Elmo about the turbo he is using?

Not yet, it is on my to-do list!

madwi 04-23-2021 10:49 AM

I need to hit up sasha and ask what should fit the manifold.

Spooler 04-23-2021 11:07 AM

Ask Al- (Solidius on the forum). He is using an oil fed turbo with an Exa pump.

Al has a 6870 Precision Turbo. You don't have to modify the kit to get it to fit.

Spooler 04-23-2021 01:02 PM

Reality is the VQ37VHR moves a tone of air. If I had to buy my turbo's again I would go with the 1.0x AR's. I can give up some in the midrange and move it to the top with ease.

Spooler 04-23-2021 01:19 PM

Watch my IAT's get out of control when I get it retuned. It is gonna happen. Back pressure is going to get out of whack and start making hot air.

I end up at whatever it will be. I am done wanting more power. I just figured why I am getting it retuned for boost by gear, might as well. Plus I have an Cast intake now that can hold it. Why not.

Im kinda excited about this purchase! Should hold the temp well throughout the year.

madwi 05-14-2021 10:36 AM

Plan on tapping into where the oil temp sensor goes on the block for turbo oil feed. Anyone see any issues with this plan?
I ordered some fittings that were mentioned in the 'Add a oil pressure gauge' diy thread.

Depending on how much volume you need. If you need more volume, the line for the oil cooler would be a good place to tap into. Otherwise. I think you're fine.

^this. I tee'd off my thermostatic plate for my sc. The fitting on the supercharger was designed to restrict the amount of flow.
