Well. I thought the new vlc player was going to support chromecast. If that is updated already then u could just play your dvd/cd via vlc player on your pc

If that is updated already then u could just play your dvd/cd via vlc player on your pc and use vlc to stream to the chromecast. Look into whether vlc has added that support. That way you wouldnt have the hassle of burning dvd.
