Want to become a Certified Tuner

Yup as the title suggests, I'm looking into becoming a Certified ECU Tuner (like a Motec/Haltech/UniChip or even OEM "reflasher" etc..) Only problem is, there aren't any good schools/colleges/institutes in

Yup as the title suggests, I'm looking into becoming a Certified ECU Tuner (like a Motec/Haltech/UniChip or even OEM "reflasher" etc..) Only problem is, there aren't any good schools/colleges/institutes in that field or anything to do with automotive tuning in general in Dubai.

I'm still researching and studying the idea, but it's really starting to grow on me. I believe I do have enough background to back that up, a BS in Mechanical Engineering (specialized in Mechatronics & Internal Combustion Engines). I've played around with a few Micro-Controllers, designed & programmed a Segway (wasn't easy btw) and lots of other freaky robots.

I know there are quite a few brains in this forum and would really appreciate if you could chime in. Any advice you can throw at me I'll have framed and hung on my wall

I heard they have a few decent schools in Australia & Japan (can't speak Japanese unfortunately)

Teach myself as in blow a few engines trying to do that? I need certificates from reputable places too remember? I would like to learn from the experienced.
