Man...I heated up like 2 tbsp of olive oil in my skillet to just about the smoking point, and when I slipped the chicken breasts in, one of em splashed

Man...I heated up like 2 tbsp of olive oil in my skillet to just about the smoking point, and when I slipped the chicken breasts in, one of em splashed the oil out so high it nearly got my face.
 Luckily I saw it coming and turned my head to the side, burning my neck and left shoulder with a spattering of molten lava-like droplets.  Here's a shot of a couple of spatters.
