I thought the current Ruger BlackHawk grips (and frames) were bigger in general than a Colt SAA. The Super and Bisley BlackHawk being even bigger. It was also my understanding that the current Ruger Vaquero was the closest in size to a Colt SAA.

Before I bought my Bisley I went to a couple of gun shows and tried the grips of every single action I could find. The Ruger Bisley definitely felt bigger and my pinky finger didn't feel like it was falling of the end of the grip.
