Hey gun packin' friends. What is your daily carry ammo of choice?

I generally use Hornady Critical Duty +p 135 gr.

Same for me that's a good round. I either carry those or my own hornady reloads

Any hollow point. I usually shoot them into a pool to see how they fragment (I'm dead serious)

Water as actually a very harsh test. If a JHP is going to over-expand and lose integrity due to it, water will expose it.

For home defense, I use hollow points. If I were going to carry in public, I'd probably go with something frangible.

The first 3 rounds, Glaser Safety Slugs. The rest of the mag is Critical Defense.

Glaser Blue Safety Slug Ammo 40 S&W 115 Grain Safety Slug Package of

All good except maybe firulice's Hornady reloads. From a legal perspective, you always want to carry 'factory' ammo, never reloads. The experts (Ayoob and others) recommend it, because you don't want to give a defense attorney any 'ammo' (sorry for the pun) to challenge a legal shoot. If you use reloads, he can claim you were looking for a fight and loaded ammo to 'maim' his client.

Wow never thought of that. Better to be prudent in this liability world we live in I guess. Thanks for the thought

Hornady Critical Duty 45 ACP 220gr +P for me.
