A good friend of mine nearby has some land way out in the country near the NC/SC state line. Ryan and I went out there yesterday to go shooting. I put around 175 rounds through the XDm, Ryan shot his P95, AR15 and .410 shotgun for a few hours yesterday afternoon.

Thoughts on the XDm so far:

  • Love it, it feels great to shoot
  • A little more kick than I remembered, Ryan observed this as well
  • Slide spring is really heavy, even with a good grip it can be hard to pull the slide back
  • I shot 100 rds of cheap ammo, and 75ish of not-quite-as-cheap ammo... no jams, stovepipes or anything
  • Towards the end of the day, my grouping was closer together but still bottom and to the right of target.
  • AR15s are fun to shoot

This is a very long read but, for those opposing restrictions on guns, has a lot of good info. Guest Post: An Opinion On Gun Control

CO was successful with both recalls. It doesn't fix their problems with the recent legislation, but I think it sends a pretty clear message.

Out of curiosity, does anyone have any suggestions/recommendations for a good carry/conceal gun location in a 370Z? Used to keep mine in the center console but it's an awkward place to draw a gun from, and I'm hoping that someone else on here has come up with a better solution.

Maybe this question has been asked already, and I just can't find it on the forums. My bad if that's the case. Any help would be appreciated.

I keep mine behind the passenger seat clipped (in an outside the belt holster) to the top of the passenger seat back cargo net/map holder thingy. Its a small p938 so it draws pretty well from there. When I'm at the track or driving hard, I roll the power seat back to put some pressure on the hard plastic holster (so it stays put!) When I put a full sized 1911 in, it rides in the document box behind the passenger seat.

Hadn't thought of those, I should look into it. I have a Springfield XDS .45 thats not quite as small, but close enough. Or I should say I had one, as it's currently on its way to Illinois as part of the XDS recall.

Just a heads up again, the admin doesn't allow politics on this thread.

I'm looking to build a 1911 80% frame. I bought the frame and probably expect the frame around 2 months or so. Hopefully sooner. It's an aluminum frame 7076 t6 alloy.

I don't have a clue what am i doing lol but figured someone here in commi norkal had build one or knows of good build parties.

Also any good place to buy parts kits for for the 1911? I wanna keep it a 9mm but later buy a complete upper for a 45 acp if possible.

Here's my latest build. Spike's Lower, Core-15 upper with 9.5" barrel in 300 Blackout. Threw in the Kimber Ultra Eclipse for good measure.

Hey guys, I don't want to break any forum rules however I have an Arsenal SGL 21-71 7.62 x 39 mm almost new with mods on a gun sale forum.

Is it ok to tell you guys about the sale, or advice on an asking price? Only 200 rounds fired.

Mods included are Black Milspec Enhanced VLTOR Modstock combo, 2x 30 round mags and the stock mag that came with the gun. Also included is a Kvar rail, KCI Trigger Pin Retainer Plate, and soft grip
