Watching young people properly trained who are confident, capable and disciplined with a firearm is inspiring. Reminds me of growing up as a kid and being on the Junior High rifle team in 7th and 8th grade.

Might be putting my G17 up on Gunbroker. I didn't realize I can ship the gun myself (as long as it goes directly to an FFL).

 why you selling?

I wish my M82 would hurry an get here.. :(

m4a1mustang 02-22-2013 11:33 AM

Well I bought my 17 and 19 at the same time. I didn't know which I liked better, so I got both.

I like the 19 better so I'm trimming the fat.

Via UPS or FedEx, it get expensive since it has to go via Next Day Air. USPS is cheaper but has to be sent by an FFL and received by one. Also note that with UPS, it has to be shipped from a hub, not from a UPS store or UPS contract shipper.

They are xraying more and more packages these days. Don't be tempted to try to sneak one through without declaring it as a firearm.

m4a1mustang 02-22-2013 11:54 AM

Yeah next day air would be quite expensive. I guess it'd be cheapest to go USPS via FFL.

m4a1mustang 02-22-2013 12:02 PM

I also live in VA so I could just do a private sale. No fees there.

Isamu 02-22-2013 12:48 PM

I wanna buy something new... a new pistol..

I did the same thing with my XD and XDsC.

VA private sales are hard to beat. I drove to VA to sell my service...beats paying through the nose to ship a gun.

I assault paper targets regularly.

I'm personally more of a fan of assaulting clay frisbees though.

Rooster89 02-24-2013 11:43 PM

I enjoy assaulting clay pigeons with my assault 1911.

Hard to hit em with it, not going to lie, but the satisfaction of a hit makes me smile from ear to ear

I assaulted my foot when I accidentally dropped a loaded mag on it. :(

Clay pigeons with a pistol is interesting. I've done it and managed to hit a couple... incredibly satisfying.

You should send that loaded mag to me so I can teach it a lesson.

Red__Zed 02-25-2013 12:45 PM

Have a Browning BPS field model from my grandpa I'm looking to get back in action. Biggest thing I noticed is the stock is compromised...new ones are pricey. I guess I should probably replace the foregrip too so they match...which makes me wonder if I should just put it in the safe and buy another 870.

Ouch. Bet you're glad it wasn't .308

Yeah, a lot people say its a waste of ammunition. Its not like an everyday thing. I'd say about maybe 1 or 2 per 50 rounds actually hit, but those two hits make it worth it :icon17:

I "inherited" 6000 clay pigeons in about 2005.

Still have a lot left.
