I ordered a bunch of these coated 45 bullets. Have yet to load one though.. :eekdance:

Whew.... good 1911 mags are hard to come by. I've been going through mine and half are shot. :shakes head:

Now comes the fun part, finding good springs and followers to fix them....:icon14:

Not much into guns as I once was many years ago. Keep a loaded 38 special behind my pillow and a 40 cal auto right under the bed. I have just too many rifles to list. However I need to take a pictures to show you guys a really cool pistol that belonged to my dad. It's a 4 barreled darringer. It's pretty cool.

Do you keep your mags loaded? I only keep a couple loaded and a few more with 4 rds. I bought a bunch from a gun show, had to nix them. Every one of them gave me a FTF.

COP 357? Have you fired it? My dad had a Calico M900. He sold it for a M1 Carbine with a folding stock. I wish he kept both.

As long as I knew my dad, he never fired it and I have never fired it as well. Kind of afraid to, to be honest.

Has anyone "rebuilt" the spring in a magazine? Ie, adjust to proper length and heat-treat. Would it be more involved than that? Seems like that would be a valuable skill to have if (when?) the SHTF. Just wondering.

I had a COP (Compact Off-Duty Police) that was a stainless 4 barrel derringer in 38/357. It was a bitch to shoot in 357....

It only shoots one barrel at a time, but is a handful in 140gr 38 special loads or any 357 loads. I kept mine loaded with 2 shot capsules and 2 HBWC mounted backwards (all 38 loads).

I'm going the replacement spring route, but I'm not tossing the old springs. You never know....
