Behind the cross bar. In the trunk area. Lift up the carpet. You will see a piece of foam. You can remove it. With it removed. You will have extra storage.

how big is that foam? i cant remember and my Z is still locked up lol

oooooooo what if you took a dremel to it or whatever those heated wires we used in tech class in high school.

you could cut the exact shape out and have a nice snug hidden spot for it.

ooooooo i need to go home andmake some plans now

That foam piece goes from one side to the other 3 to 3.5 ft long, it's about 5"~6" wide, about 8" deep. 2 ways to remove it. Take all the plastic panels out of the rear. Or use a hack saw blade and cut it on the corners for clearance. Once you remove it. You have to make a cover for that area to keep the carpet from dropping in.

Hey Rusty, I also reload...my brown bess flintlock, lol. As fun as my modern firearms are, nothing can touch the smoke and noise of a black powder flintlock.

Why do you need an AR15 in your car

Why not.

The last time I went ZDAYZ I had 3 guns with me including a rifle. I hope I will never truly need a gun. It is better to have one and never need it than need one and not have one.

Edit: BTW thats an AK not an AR.

I know that’s an ak in the picture. I was referring to another reply. Sure you might need a handgun some day, having rifles is just pointless.

Not true, most trained shooters can't hit a target at 20 yards with had gun. That is why law enforcement now carry ARs. The issue with handguns is most handgun fights happen within 3 to 9 feet. Your lucky if you have time to act in those cases and if in a crowd of people and have to find an engage the perpetrator is near impossible most the time. I will stop there as I could go on.

I am not saying don't are yourself, just smart about it. Home security and traveling, you bet carry them if you got them!

I started shooting less than a year ago and can already hit targets consistently from 25 yards with a handgun
