Just a guess here, but I'd say you'll have just a smidge of a better time in the GTR.

Winter time I was thinking I might just keep my present car as a beater.. which I was going to do anyways.. commute to and from NYC with. I suppose with the exception of like 12" of snow the GTR would probably handle it decently well...

phelan 09-01-2009 05:38 PM

i'm not a huge fan of the R35...I really, REALLY want an R32 :(

Togo 09-01-2009 05:39 PM

GTR parts are ******* crazy expensive though.. freaking tax for playing big... :(

phelan 09-01-2009 05:39 PM

and u get to baby it every 1000 miles with a service check!

Yea I'm not quite a supporter of the R35 to say the least. What it can do is quite incredible, but that's where I stop lol.

Oh I know.. it's a bitch!

I didn't know about the servicing once every 1k miles.. if thats true then oh **** that. I could live without having having a true manual but yeah if i'm taking it in for service 10-12 times a year then its just a no go.

phelan 09-01-2009 05:45 PM

yeah the servicing requirements for it (and most other high-end supercars) are absurd.

haha just check into it. Did they fix the launch control problems too? Ask them what they try to void warranties for now a days. Not being an *** on that one either, might just want to check with them.

phelan 09-01-2009 05:48 PM

if he's worried about maintenance, a porsche would def be no dice. GTR is a very modest way of owning a fast car. Nissan made sure of that and I give them credit for that as well. German cars for just everyday maintenance are crazy. Plus to have the fun in a porsche that you could in a GTR you're looking at well over 125k

Oh I know you are being an ***. Last i heard they will void your warranty if they see that the launch control thingy feature was used. Thats just retarded but I figure if you are upgrading to the HKS 570 kit, removing cats, and doing a new Ypipe and exhaust that would probably void any warranty too.

I might as well just say **** that and stick with the option of boosting a Z. I'll take the extra money and buy a pick up truck for the winter weather.

phelan 09-01-2009 05:53 PM

I'm so happy to not have to deal with records and registrations anymore.
