One trick is to go just slightly under the milestones as in .96-.97 ct is usually much cheaper than 1.0 ct. At least it used to be that way. The

The "I think that is too small for a doctor" comment is funny. Most doctors rings... if they even have one... are much smaller than average. Doctors seem to be much more sensible than most women about such things.
