give me a minute.. i think i need to watch it again i was talking all through it bouncing theories off my brother the whole time..... im very confused... i guess atleast the popular theory of the sideways being some sort of epilogue is now debunked... i dunno i think it might be some type of prison they are unknowingly trapped in because they "think" they are more content in that world.. maybe jacob created it and maybe MIB knows about it and thats what he wants to escape from, i mean desmond "waking" up the others matrix style is sort of what MIB is doing by having all the canidates leave together... like no more game pieces ...no more game maybe?

but the questions i have is did widmore know that would happen during the EM test?.. i think no because that was just a test to see if desmond could handle the EM ... but where was zoe taking him? like to the real EM pocket...what was supposed to happen there the same thing?

and eloise... like she seems aware that they are in this world that isnt supposed to be.... i guess she got off the island pregnant with daniel?... i think maybe she made some deal with whoever in exchange for having her son back.. she talked about a "violation" but of what.. this is begining to seems matrix and "the prisoner"(ery) i know the original show is differnet but in the AMC remake.. in that show like their conciousness goes to this place where it can heal from all the bad things that have happened to them and when you become aware of that reality it stops existing..

my brother is a huge comic fan and he said it reminded him of house of M.. but i havent read it

if jacob is behind this im thinking MIB is good (not really good but a lesser of the two evils)


oh and one more thought charlie had a vision of claire as he was choking right? so he had a vision of the island timeline.. juliet as she was dying had a vision of the sideways (coffe shop with sawyer?) so whats up with that?



and random trivia.. the paiting of the scales in widmores office and the fact that daniel's last name wasnt faraday because no paradox... his name was farady because he traveled back to tell his mom that name so she named him that and he grew up to travel back in time to... tell her that name in an endless loop like the compass

Ok, since we're throwing out theories... Widmore was testing to see if Desmond would survive the EM, which would be verification that they are in a parallel existence... because Desmond is immortal in all but the true time/existence, as Widmore somehow knew... Widmore also wanted to 'awaken' Desmond to the reality of his various existences. Desmond is 'not ready' to handle all the truths about branching realities, which will cause problems in the final episodes... and if Desmond is 'not ready' then it doesn't bode well that he asked for the manifest and decided that everyone else needs to be enlightened about the branched realities... perhaps by 'enlightening them', he dooms them to the island in the first place... Desmond's existence on the island has become aware of the many branches and seeks to converge them or close off that branch... those that exist permanently on the island seek to guard against that branch being closed off

it might be like donnie darko where a tangent universe was created and is making the other unstable ... widmore brought up how things will cease to exist if MIB leaves the island
( im guessing with the other remaining canidates) ... im not sure how he(MIB) is linked to it all but something ceasing to exist sounds like an implosion of a timeline to me..

if this is what we are seeing i dont think the bomb created it.. the bomb maintained the main island timeline .... i think the lack of the bomb created it.. the bomb was like the failsafe and possible saved the island from sinking from the EM leakage at the drilling site.. the lack of the bomb caused the tangent universe maybe?

but then its like a paradox. they flew over the sunken island and didnt crash but the island was sunken because.. they didnt crash on it ( to eventually detonate the bomb)


so im not sure that theory does it for me... you have this story about seemingly multiverses which is more scientific then you have this whole jacob vs MIB myth type story.. i cant yet see how its connected i keep going back to how this is a game jacob is playing and maybe this other sideways is part of it... and damon and carlton both said dont call it an alternate universe..

so ok i will take them at their word for a minute... what if its not a alternate universe what if its like a false created shared conciousness ( related to jacob or MIB's offers about saving/seeing loved ones again and all that) and it isnt actually a living breathing reality.. that would mean people like jacks son.. arnt real?

so many questions.

next week i see is a hurley episode ( the last single character centric episode of lost i think) maybe all those people he has seen arnt ghosts.. maybe they are versions of the people from the sideways? but then what about isabella? ok in talking in circles now
