i guess i take the episode for what it is i mean there is still a part of me that doesnt believe things are as they seem between jacob and MIB…

the island is a cork that holds in all the darkness/evil in the world.. this late in the show im going to take jacobs word for it because it jives with his private conversation with MIB on the beach in "the incident" about proving MIB wrong about humanity...and to richard he spoke some core truths that we know the show is really about like your past life not mattering on the island (2nd chance redemption) and letting people make the choice ( like ben stabbing him and letting jack realize things on his own)

but the big issue i have is if he (MIB) is really just evil incarnate then what of all this talk about how he was a person and then jacob betrayed him and stole his body and his humanity... and what does that mean like literally he looked like jacob or jacob took away his physical form so he couldnt leave the island?… does this have something to do with the kids in the jungle? so what im saying is yeah MIB i think is lying to everyone and h.... but i do believe all this i was a human once talk of his... how can that be if jacob describes him as being almost a metaphor or embodiment of evil.. must be more to it..

i think jacob is forcing him into this role almost like how MIB told kate about wanting to create an enemy... i do think MIB is bad/evil but i think he has his reasons... i dont think it boils down to just a parable of good vs evil

is it possible him and jacob two parts of the same enity? could be why that havent dropped his name yet..

if you recall, Smokey in Locke form told Kate he had a crazy mother which leads to the assumption (unless smokey was lying) that he was once a man and then later alludes again to it that Jacob took his human form...who on the show has a crazy mother? the only one i can think of is Faraday - Eloise seemed to be pretty crazy

I'll be pretty upset if there isn't any more to it other than Jacob using the island to keep evil trapped there forever. What we need now is a MIB centric episode, which I'm sure we'll get....hopefully.

I was actually kind of disappointed in the Richard episode. Sure, they told a great story about why he's there and what his role is, but I think they focused way too much of what brought him to the island, instead of what he's done on the island and/or what he knows about it.

i think thats the point he doesnt know anything or well slightly more than everyone else brought there.... thats why he was so upset.. jacob probably gave him vague orders for all these years with no explaination...


it was important because i think before richard mib and jacobs morality "game" was less organized mib had probably never thought to have someone else kill jacob and jacob never thought to have a go between before... so im guessing post richard is how the others became the others like he would tell them about jacob and the island

the last scene was mib plotting to kill jacob again.. if you cant uncork the bottle to let it out then you break the bottle......

speaking of that made a funny observation... MIB is locked in a metaphoric bottle..... grants wishes to the people he recruits and appears as smoke... uh yeah he is a damn genie lol

as for a MIB episode.. im guessing thats what episode 15 is about... the one where they said takes place in a different time and place with no regular cast members... i used to think it was acient egypt but what was that dagger like roman?

MIB is the devil, and he wants to leave the island so badly to spread evil firsthand on Earth- eventually taking it over.. I always knew CCD would pay off lol

as of tonight im going dark (besides this thread) there are sooo many punk *** people on the internet spamming the lost blogs and forums with spoilers... tonight i was reading an article on this weeks episode and huge spoilers about who where and when jacob and MIB are from were in the comments... if it wasnt already obvious especially with a big clue in this weeks episode then i would be really pissed off i mean seriously .... i guess i know where/when that mystery episode takes place now...... but yeah i guess they are trying to "dumbledore" all the lost fans..not cool

so a heads up you might want to stay away from lost forums/blogs though may if you dont already

yeah i have too for the most part... a few weeks ago some entertainment website teased the island was a 4 letter word with a O in it...which a teaser like that is fine... i guessed like "Port" or maybe like a "womb" (metaphorically of course) and i remember reading someone randomly post Cork and i thought hmm that seems random as hell but come to find out this week its true. so looking back im thinking that person already knew and was spoiling ... so yeah im real careful of what i read from here on out

desmond being what was behind that door was the most no **** reveal ever on lost.. but i mean we all knew he was coming back so hard not to see that coming...

if you watch this quick ABC sneak peek for next week (minor spoiler about desmond really being on the plane or not) .... im guessing yes he is the key .... after seeing it and what he says (not that it gives alot away but there is alot you can read in to that quick moment)

widmore talked about sacraficing desmond in the trailer for next week... and we know they are looking for electromagnetic pockets.... so if the failsafe key explosion...caused his mind to leap into different times in his own life... maybe the electromagnetism can allow him to leap into whatever the sideways is..what his mission is there.. i dunno.. maybe it has something to do with.. what lies in the shadow of the statue.... (locke) he who will save us all


also what is the link between sun being shot in the sideways.. loosing conciousness in the island time and then not being able to speak english? hmm... it has to be connected.. i dont believe its just a plot device from hitting her head

I agree with you. It seems that the two time lines cross each other. So as she was shot in one world, she lost a little bit of herself in the other. But, if you notice the use of the tomatoes resilience sometime after. Jack said something along the lines of..Someone never told this tomato it was supposed to die. Foreshadowing her perseverance into the future. Now obviously, I can assume Jack will be the person to save her life in the hospital that Jin just "happens" to take her to since shes been shot.

give me a minute.. i think i need to watch it again i was talking all through it bouncing theories off my brother the whole time..... im very confused... i guess atleast the popular theory of the sideways being some sort of epilogue is now debunked... i dunno i think it might be some type of prison they are unknowingly trapped in because they "think" they are more content in that world.. maybe jacob created it and maybe MIB knows about it and thats what he wants to escape from, i mean desmond "waking" up the others matrix style is sort of what MIB is doing by having all the canidates leave together... like no more game pieces ...no more game maybe?

but the questions i have is did widmore know that would happen during the EM test?.. i think no because that was just a test to see if desmond could handle the EM ... but where was zoe taking him? like to the real EM pocket...what was supposed to happen there the same thing?

and eloise... like she seems aware that they are in this world that isnt supposed to be.... i guess she got off the island pregnant with daniel?... i think maybe she made some deal with whoever in exchange for having her son back.. she talked about a "violation" but of what.. this is begining to seems matrix and "the prisoner"(ery) i know the original show is differnet but in the AMC remake.. in that show like their conciousness goes to this place where it can heal from all the bad things that have happened to them and when you become aware of that reality it stops existing..

my brother is a huge comic fan and he said it reminded him of house of M.. but i havent read it

if jacob is behind this im thinking MIB is good (not really good but a lesser of the two evils)


oh and one more thought charlie had a vision of claire as he was choking right? so he had a vision of the island timeline.. juliet as she was dying had a vision of the sideways (coffe shop with sawyer?) so whats up with that?



and random trivia.. the paiting of the scales in widmores office and the fact that daniel's last name wasnt faraday because no paradox... his name was farady because he traveled back to tell his mom that name so she named him that and he grew up to travel back in time to... tell her that name in an endless loop like the compass
