Here’s what I’m thinking of using… I’ve got 8 shutters to do at $8 a can I figure I can get away under a hundred bucks. Just don’t want to f this up and have it look like Sh1t and have to scrape them. I don’t have anything to test it on, so it’s all or nothing…

They look like square drive screws to me. If you have the right bit, see if they unscrew easy enough. I wouldn't recommend a rattle can regardless of whether you have to remove it or not. Get a proper exterior paint and brush or spray it on

Runs are a problem with any poor painting technique. Generally, wood will require more prep than metal or plastic surfaces. Sand, vac, and tack before you put down a bonding primer.

For the record, you can rattle can them with stuff like you have. I just never like how it finishes. Definitely wouldn't use it unless you can uninstall them though. Don't want it spraying through the slats.

Yea, that’s just it, nothing wrong with either, just want to give it a little curb appeal. Just trying to save myself a fiasco later…
