All of my neighbors have snow throwers and for the most part they all do the job very good except when its a real heavy wet snow which basically renders them useless. That doesn't bother the tractor one bit. They are amazed when they have to resort to shoveling (for hours) that I can just come along and do it in a few passes. Much LeRoux Blackberry Brandy is consumed during these times...

Lol... I thought I remembered seeing you go up that driveway in a GoPro vid of yours and then remembered your sarcasm which gave me a bit of a chuckle.

I have rules for the driveway also. You may visit if you want but if you get stuck, slide off the driveway or get no traction going up the hill either way, I aint helping. I'll call a tow truck and watch out the window with a cup of hot cocoa.
I no longer salt, shovel, push, pull or anything else to get a car unstuck. I usually have UPS and delivery people drop stuff off at my neighbors house. It can be a bitch to get up the thing in winter.

You are clearly living in the wrong part of the country. All of that sh1t sounds miserable.

That’s cool, or rather really really cold

I hate the cold so I’m much better off here in FL. we’re lucky the US has such a diversity of places we can live, something for everyone, very few other countries can claim that.

I'm cool with the snow throwing. I shoveled my driveway exactly 1x when I first moved in. Told Megan never again. It was thick wet snow and took hours. Being set back from the road sounds so good in theory.

I don't want to know the price but just curious on something that big... How to you get charged? do they charge you per visit based on snowfall amount?

BTW, I would have to get me one of these for your place.

I pay about $30 each time they come out. I prepay for 15 visits and that is usually the average number of visits per year. If more or less we just adjust rate of the lawn care in the spring.

No way! That's so cheap.

Even kids coming around in ATV charge more than that around here and your driveway is almost 10 times the size! I got to get out of NJ.

My Mahindra is a little bigger than that. It has a front end loader on it. I call it my little buddy. Can't live without it at my place. I would love a 40hp one with A/C to bush hog my pasture with.
