Ted was a big hit with the young ladies at Discount tire. They have it so you pull up curbside and talk to them. Everyone was sitting outside so he hammed it up till they came over to pet him while he hung out the window of the Z.

He's a good boy.

Optima quality has declined since it's heyday. I wouldn't bother with one now.

I just grabbed a napa gold when the battery in the G died. I think they are all made in the same spot anymore with different stickers slapped on them.

Optima quality took a sh1t about a decade ago when, surprise surprise, they moved production to Mexico.

However, in the last couple years, they’ve really put an emphasis on QC and apparently have a new factory down there and things have turned around.

I have a new yellow top in my Jeep installed 7 mo ago, it’s been fine, works great, but that’s not exactly scientific info. Would/will buy again but hopefully not have to for a long time.

The guys on the Power Wagon forum won't go near a red or yellow top. Everyone is switching over to the Odyssey batteries. They hold up better with all the winching. I have one in my Power Wagon, with a DC Power 270 amp alternator. All of my battery cables are 00 size
