Watched one go over at Ashland oil refinery in Canton Ohio. A big DeMag. They was lifting a big azz piece for a cracker unit. Almost had it in place. That set the outage back a month.

No and I don't want to either.

On most of my picks we have way more crane than the weight requires. But we need big boys to reach the heights im on. Like this one, needed 240' of stick so they had to swing one section of jib. That still had the hook within a few feet of the tip to hit the top of the hen house.

At the power plant. We had an operator named Dewhite. Dewhite was a BIG boy. Bigger then JC. Stood 6'6", 395lbs. He hated heights in the worse way. His goal was to be at 400 or a little over 400 lbs in weight. Because there is no OSHA rated ladder or safety harness for weight at 400 lbs and over. It was his way of getting out of work. :shakes head: He was with us for about 2 yrs. Then he went back home to Mississippi. Got a job there. Lost a bunch of weight. Last I heard. He's was around 260lbs.

When I worked at Elliott TurboMachinery. We had a 100 ton overhead crane in the shop. We would routinely lift 130 to 140 tons with it. When we lifted anything at 100 tons or over. We would chase everyone out of the building. Then would only be 3 people in the building. The crane operator a foreman, and a spotter.

On-site. A lot of times. We had to remove the roofs of buildings to get at the equipment to work on it. When you have to remove the top half casing of a centrifugal compressor that weights 35 to 40 tons. And there is no crane inside the building. You do what you have to do. :icon14:

If I was still at Elliott. I could get you all the heat tape you wanted.

If anyone is looking to buy body armor. It will take a minimum of 12 weeks to get it. Some places are saying 16 weeks. There is that much of a demand for it right now.

High Temp Masking Supplies

https://hightempmasking.com/

You will need silicone plugs and tape for the calipers.

And you might want to give A Solutions Auto Parts a call or hit them up on FB. They have/had a '16 Nismo 49k miles (post was june 30th) that still had the calipers on it. Good chance that's not the only set they have.
Might still have the wheels too, they look to be in really good shape

I was a splicing tech for the phone company in the '70's. Some of the cables I had to do slicing on were 3600 pair (7200 wires). :icon14:

The tape we used at Elliott. You could put a torch to it and it wouldn't do anything. We used it for metal spraying, and plasma spraying metal parts.

How much you want to pay? That's the question. You want something like a scope That you can see with and record? Or just a camera?

Also, they don't make night vision camera that is colored vision.
