I have an older 3G with the 4.56 gears. I can run 37's if I open up the front of the rear fender wells. Been a few to run 40's on their 3G's. :yum: I installed RCV axles in the front, along with the Dynatrac freespin hubs.

:icon17:

I’m laughing bc I’ve had this discussion in my head numerous times over the past few years, I’ve always loved power wagons and would totally own one. But it won’t fit in the garage and my wife doesn’t want it parking in the driveway since it takes up so much space and I don’t want to park a 65k truck on the street. Plus, I do love Jeeps, not sure I could live w/o one, always seem to come back around to them no matter what.

Clearly, the best solution is to put the Jeep on 37s and then buy a power wagon and put 40s underneath it and go buy a new house to fit all of that. :ughdance:

Maybe one day, I’ll start with the Jeep....for now. :)

I just grabbed a napa gold when the battery in the G died. I think they are all made in the same spot anymore with different stickers slapped on them.

I'll look into that when the Z needs one. I'm still on the stock one too. Both cars are '13s but the G needed one almost 2 years ago and the one in the Z keeps kicking. The winter really takes years off a batteries life

That Walmart brand yeti knock off is pretty good and it just fits in the Z. It's not quite as good as a yeti but for those that stay within arms length of civilization you'll never know a difference. And it's less than 1/3 the cost for the same size cooler

Sounds a bit like how we'd go scalloping... out on the boat snorkeling over the grass flats with a small hand net and mesh bag. Scooping them up all day long as the try to backward clam swim. But then you have to crack n clean them. Not fun. But once they're in a pan later that evening swimmimg in chopped garlic and butter, all's forgotten and forgiven, and nothing else is tastier!

Hmmmmm... i gotta try these smelt!

I drive through Athens once in a while on my way to Durhamtown offroad MX 'resort' near Union Point GA. I'll have to stop in and check out CC next time I'm there. ;)

However, in the last couple years, they’ve really put an emphasis on QC and apparently have a new factory down there and things have turned around.

I have a new yellow top in my Jeep installed 7 mo ago, it’s been fine, works great, but that’s not exactly scientific info. Would/will buy again but hopefully not have to for a long time.

The guys on the Power Wagon forum won't go near a red or yellow top. Everyone is switching over to the Odyssey batteries. They hold up better with all the winching. I have one in my Power Wagon, with a DC Power 270 amp alternator. All of my battery cables are 00 size

Here the battery you want in your Z. My next one when my oem dies.

We get a lot of Jeep converts on the forum. Mainly looking for a bigger vehicle to take the family with them. And to tow their camper to the trails. The Jeepers are surprised as chit when they see us on the same trails as them. :rofl2: Get a lot of strange looks. :icon14: :eek:
