It will slowly be reduced month by month, then all employees will be back December. Depending on how Oregon unemployment is we may be able to do furloughed year round, meaning reducing work week to 1/3.

Is that furlough or workshare?

Furlough period is planned for multiple months, but depends on how oregon UE works with reduced hours. Basically my employer is trying to see what the best case scenario for the employees are, as we ALL will be back to work in November/December. I work within the tax world so we're a somewhat seasonal office, but we do other services to keep busy year round. Also I may be a little unfamiliar with the term workshare.

So was I until I read ab it today in the WSJ. Workshare means, basically, that your employer cuts employee weekly hours and applies to the state unemployment agency for the state to pay the difference between the employee's actual hours and the normal 40 hour workweek.

It’s not 100% secured down; as I was seeing how difficult or easy it was to get a sheet up top & didn’t have any tools waiting
Looking around & everything was smooth & nothing to hook it on :icon14:
I called for my daughter to pass me a C-clamp to hold in place while I climbed down & got supplies :ugh2:

Does it normally still snow into mid-April up north? This is very fascinating to me. I wonder if a place opposite of FL exists, where it's cold 90% of the time and mildly warn the other 10%?

Though this covid-19 sh!t sucks, if trying to look for something positive of the situation, it is my work schedule and that every other day is like Friday, and after 3 of these "Fridays", it's a 3-day weekend. But then, all I do now is stay inside and watch LOTS of TV :shakes head:

And I have to wait until around 9.30 PM before going jogging so that no one else is out there

I swear hurricanes always bypass Tampa, even when the meteorologists/spaghetti models show a direct hit for Tampa.

i mean we wont be close to each other, wipe down the carts with lysol wipes, they altered course to have raised cups so no touching flag sticks or inside the cups.

i mean how risky is it really? i know the 3 other guys i'd be going with.

i'm at a loss. am i being a good citizen by thinking its a dumb idea or is it just over-cautious and overthinking?

My opinion:

How have your friends been in regards to staying inside? Have they been out and about and meeting other people? And who have those people met? It's a chain of events and all it takes is one infected person.

Even though you will be doing your part with the social distancing and wiping down and etc., this virus can live up to 72 hours on surfaces and can be airborne.

The only exception I think is safe is if it was meeting up with Z owners of this forum, but that's just my opinion

the course went above and beyond as well. carts were already in the parking lot spread out with personal parking space next to it, all employees gloved up and keeping away, only allowed 2 people in the clubhouse at a time to pay. seemed pretty well ran set up.

also the raised cup thing was a surprise but very smart move.

until one infected person, unbeknownst to them, sneezes and all those germs spread with the wind.

I'm thinking this virus will linger at least until the end of this year. China dealt with the 2nd wave, which we have yet to see. They are also dealing with another virus called the hantavirus and have reported deaths from this other virus.

We have the hantavirus here. It's in the southwest. And it's deadly too. It's in mouse droppings.
