Still need to hang the hose [insert yer jokes here, boys] and attach the dust bag but this isnt a bad DIY wall mount, considering I only had an old shelf board to work with.

Use a router with a circle jig, cut half a circle above the block and insert piece of flat rubber stock into it? Maybe a cone-of-shame from a veterinarian cut in half? just some idea.

If it were me Id just attach a bunch of these around it. Then when it get wacked with a hose, leg or face it will make the fun sound! Make you forget about the pain for a second at least.
