We have 17 gas stations within a 3 mile radius with another being built. But the local taco shop couldn't afford to stay open because rent was astronomical.

OH, and this parking crap that just happened? It came right after the city decided to spend 1 million and change demolishing a parking structure for the whole downtown area instead of making it safe again.
