I tired! Came home and worked on the motorhome. The inside is all cleaned up. Mechanically, it's good to go. Have to take a few things out from the storage area under it. Then have the couple pick it up today evening. Have it rented out for the weekend. Hopefully to make a couple of bucks renting it out.

i got mine at age 23 and think it was like 150 a month with $100 deductible.

think now at 32 it's like 90 a month for my Z and then the 4 months i lay it up and pay like $15 a month.

LOL... back in 1979, I was about 20 years old and bought a new Caddy... brand new Coupe DeVille with a bar in the back seat.. I put wire wheels (true spokes) and big wide white walls on it... (Yup, it was the summer I thought I was a black guy... :tiphat:)

Anywho... , I was more than a bit wild and I had received about every kind of ticket you could get in a car or on a motorcycle... even got to wear the bracelets a time or two... :icon17:

My fuggin insurance was $360 a month, and the car payment was only $270. I did it for about a year and a half before I finally waved the white flag and sold the car to my Pops.

Had a lot of fun in that Caddy though, cruisin in Saginaw Mich... some of the stuff that I did, I haven’t told anyone yet...

I need to find some pictures of that car, it was pretty sweet at the time. I wasn't into Camaros and Trans Ams... I was more into big rides and the ladies

In 78. I bought my first new car. A black on black on black TransAm with t-tops. Sticker was $10,003. That car got me in sooooooooo much trouble. :rofl2: 4 speeding tickets in one month. The one was for 126 in a 55. :driving: During the 4th of July in 79. Me and a buddy strapped a 16 gal keg of beer in the back seat using the seat belt. Had one of those long taps with a long hose on the keg. Drinking out of the hose by passing it between the bucket seats. We was driving around downtown Pittsburgh like that with the T-tops out. At every red light we stopped at. People wanted a beer. They was emptying out the soft drink cups and we was filling them back up with beer. :rofl2: Do that now and get caught. You'll be in jail for a while. :icon14:

Spoiler 04-11-2019 09:33 PM

Haha... yeah it was a little different back then... in ‘78, I bought my first new car.. a T Bird... after 7 months, a telephone pole stepped out in front of it... and that was the end of that one. I had plenty of money, so I just laughed and went and got the Coupe DeVille

So my buddy and I would cruise in the Caddy and one night we would only drink Kamikazees, then the next night only Crown straight. I would rotate what was in the bar (built into the back of the seat at the Fleetwood assembly plant) so in our minds, we thought we would not build up a tolerance for something... MGD, Crown, LITs, Kami’s. We would change it up every night... I’m somewhat amazed that I’m even alive considering what we did every weekend night for about 4 years...

We were going to go this year but then they announced Indy at COTA. Next year we'll probably attend both.

I used to live just a couple blocks from where they have the GP. You could hear those cars during the week as they prepare for the race. Parking was horrendous during the weekend of the GP, but it was nice to be able to just walk there.

Come to think of it, I also used to live a block away from the New Years day Rose Parade. Now I need to find another big ticket event to move close to for the trifecta...lol

i was.......but i am a drummer, so we were the exception, and we were actually cool lol :wtf2:

think we did it in 2004? all i know is i paid $25 and sat 10th row to watch USC just beat up on Michigan.

it was a pretty solid trip minus carrying a 30-40lb drum rig for 5.5 miles.

I lived there in 2009-2010. Yeah mid 2000s when USC was an absolute terror.

Update on my total loss car,

They offered me only 400 dollars less than what I paid for the car as the value

I think I can squeeze a few more dollars out of them because it seems like the vehicles they used to compare were base models whereas I had a sport. Hopefully I can get a little more to offset the ridiculous deductible that I agreed upon.
