I always refer to the season as when the regular season ended, not when the actual bowl game took place.

CF is louder, higher pitch, and lighter. all documented lol

I explain it like this.

The CF has a more exotic sound compared to the SS.

Yes please. That really was the beginning of a long, dark time for us.

I just couldn’t make a link between hurting your back and concern of metal. The machinist thing didn’t click.

yea i used to but then i'd get looks like ".....elaborate" so i now just say it's a higher pitch. seems to work better.

also, i cant believe i felt way behind being build #373 and now they are almost at #2000

Fair enough. We walked that long road after Colt got hurt in the National Championship game against Alabama. Lot of rough years watching Texas play until recently.

I have never heard the 3" carbon fiber mufflers on a turbo car. We will find out shortly what it sounds like.

They have a 3" CF can now? Sweet. They didn't when I ordered mine or I would have gone that way.

3" typically is overall deeper from the few i've heard.

sadly turbos are a muffler in themselves. turbo cars should just run open dumps lol

No. In the world where they didn’t strip them of a title because of Bush taking money, they won a single title against OU in 2004 (game was in ‘05). They lost their only other appearance that decade to Texas the following year. Of course that victory would ant in the history books cuz Bush cheated.

They had that long before they made their kit. They didn't have a CF can then, so I ended up with the SS cans.

was it really long before? i thought it was developed then shortly after the TT kit dropped.

idk anymore my timeline is just blurry.

I have hearing loss issues due to loud music when I was younger. I can't afford to loose anymore hearing. I like it loud, but not too loud. LOL

I clearly remember Chuck getting his 3” while they were still developing their TT kit. Had it been the other way around Chuck would not only be running their 3” exhaust but their TT kit as well.

Yeah, Tony was telling me about his upcoming kit when I was buying my exhaust and it was another 12-18 months before he released the kit. I think I've got 3" #6 or something like that.

guess i'll leave the mufflers on then if you want a preview lol

i have a separate axle back set to swap out my mufflers to straight pipes and it's a whole different level.

ok fine i put the buggy before the horse there but regardless it was close and the #'' was made with the TT kit in mind since 3" doesnt make any difference on NA.

Funny that’s how my build went too. The G kit was deep into development when I did my build. 12-18 months after my car was up and running they finally released it.
