7 hours using the sous vide and then stuck in the oven for a bit to set up the sauce. Turned out OK. Not the best ive ever done but they were edible

Guess I forgot to post here and to grab a pre-picture.

9.5hrs @ 165 in the sous vide. Premarinated with garlic powder and Tony Chachere. Finished them with a apple rub my buddy had and threw them under the broiler 5 mins a side. Could of used a little more heat but the sweetness was a nice change from my normal. I could hardly cut them, they fell off the bone.

Kinda liking this thread... but with no new posts, I figure everyone must be on a diet or something...?

Yeah, everyone is worried about their figure as Summer is rapidly approaching... Including B. Sharon from what I hear.

I like this thread but unfortunately won't be much of a contributor. When I cook food, my first instinct is to eat it, not document it.

I haven’t tried anything new recently.

We did bring back some quarters and backs trap from our hog hunt. Gotta figure out to do with it.

I haven't had any time at all from work. Hoping to change that soon. And since it's finally getting warm out, hopefully start smoking some meats. May even pick up a small dry aging fridge.

Default Essies's sauce

This is a local product.Served in local Super Club in the 60's.
I have grown up on this stuff.
You can buy it nationally from Amazon now.
Try a steak marinated in Essie's sauce. Everyone I have given a jar too have asked where they can get more.

If you are feeling adventures give it a try.

An Essie steak is great.

I do not work for the company.
