2 hours for sirloin is my go to method. When you start to hit 3 or more with thinner cuts of meats, it starts to fall apart. Now a tomahawk or thick porterhouse I would let go for 3 hours min.

And yea. I do the same with my cast iron. I crank my over to 550F and then sear the ever living hell @ 15 seconds per side while I spoon smoking butter all over the cut.

We did have to deal with our fair share of paint-wiping little bitches, so after a while, I just started lighting up the opposing team till they'd oust themselves.

Yard is coming along. Finished digging out most of the debris on the driveway side, and all the fallen trees are dissected. I can almost use the mower over there - that's the eventual goal! Pressure washed the house. No more moss.

I got to more work to do around my cowboy grille. Have to add more 1 foot concrete squares towards the retaining wall for my log rack.

Well, your yard was definitely looking good when I was there. I think you're a bit closer to done than I am ;)

Long term plans, in no particular order:

1) Shore up existing retaining wall around driveway (my garage/driveway back up against a hill). Masonry is cracking, so I'll probably need to rent a backhoe and dig behind the wall, build a frame, and pour in concrete to make sure it holds. That's going to be a big job.
2) Move my shed. Currently right behind the house, and it blocks the view of my scenic forest from the back room. Short sighted placement on the part of the previous residents, but that was pretty much their MO.
3) Add patio where my pool used to be. (Big project off the list this past year was filling in the pool)
4) Terrace back hill.
5) Clear out stable, refinish cement block walls, add pergola and fire pit.
6) Line porch with river rock as a border because wife thinks it will look good (she's probably right).

Got my next few Saturday's lined up...

You might think of installing a french drain on number 1.

I got rid of the river rock the first owners had put down. It was full of weeds. And took too long to take care of.

I spent yesterday sawing up the 4 wood pallets that was sitting along the retaining wall for fire wood.

That's my general opinion of river rock. Good thought on the french drain with item 1.

Had to fire up the furnace yesterday, got home and it was 58* in the house!
Would have fired up the wood burner, but that squirrel that was caught in there last month tore up the gasget / door seal, so off to Home Depot.

Dropped down to 56 last night, but I see it's going back to 80 today and for the rest of the week. Go away Summer, you're drunk, it's fall's turn now!

I don’t buy steaks less than 1” so that’s why 3 HRs is my go to.

I pooped. After work. I did more work. :icon14: Worked on the little patio around my cowboy grille. Made a place for my log rack.
Did a little landscaping too.

To do list at work is complete. Work ordered 29 triple monitor stands for new office. The monitors they wanted are too big and wont fit in a horizontal triple setup. Gonna have to be ghetto and put one over the top of the two other monitors. :icon17:
