In Alaska they have a list. You get on the list. They call you when roadkill in your area is reported. You go pick it up (and eat it or sell it). And you better be able to haul away a 1500 lb Moose if you get called.

Oh yeah, I’m just looking forward to the paid days off this year. Hahaha. In my worst I was doing 5-6 at a time and shooting them up. They were the 30mg ones @ $25 a pop. Blew through so much money. I got in a truck at work the other week and saw a couple of boxes of diabetic syringes in the back seat and immediately got out and asked someone else to move the truck. Lol. I like to think I’m ok with triggers but if it’s something I can avoid I try to. I got to talk to my probation officer yesterday. Imma try to get off probation early so I can get my carry permit back. I miss having firearms. Lol.

Also, my P/O is super pretty, I was pleasantly surprised when I met her for the first time.

Also, does anyone have any opinions on the Tein Street Basis coilover set? I know they’re super basic but I just want basic coil overs. Amazon has them for less than $500. Tein is a good brand from what I recall.

I will probably go with bigger turbos so that it is easier to dial back the torque from coming on all at once. I really have to have moderate the loud pedal because of that and it is the reason for one of the two spins I had on Saturday.

Theres a youtuber I used to watch a while back. He had a white TT Z. iirc, from Arizona and he had 700 something HP. He destroyed pretty much anything he drag raced.

Koni's with the Swift springs would be better.

$500 for a set of coilovers does not sound like a good option to me. I'd be afraid of their quality. Some Koni yellows and Swift springs are a much better option

Considering the risk of the Tein's being cheap and breaking on you, I don't think they will be in the long run.

Felix_A 11-20-2018 09:10 AM

Fair enough. Lol. I’ll just hold off til tax time or there about. Get the credit cards paid off. I was looking at the Stance coilovers on Z1 as well. They’re about $1300 a set?

Felix_A 11-20-2018 09:14 AM

Tein GSP92-8UAS2 Coil Overs(07+ Infiniti G35 Sedan/G37 Coupe (V36) / 09+ Nissan 370Z (Z34) Street Basis Z) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HUCKAOQ..._csc9BbA7K9ZAK

The amazon link^

The Z1 link of the same set.

JARblue 11-20-2018 09:16 AM

What is your purpose for wanting coilovers? Are you just looking to lower the car a bit for the aesthetics? Then just get some Swift springs - far cheaper than coilovers. Or are you looking for improved handling and ride quality? The Koni yellow struts are a good entry level option. Paired with Swift springs is a popular choice.

If you're not going to drive it hard, then you might consider something like BC coilovers or Stance or Tein. I just don't like the idea of putting something cheap in my suspension. You gotta pay to play.

Felix_A 11-20-2018 09:18 AM

Mostly aesthetics. I doubt I’ll ever track the car. I just mainly want the adjustability of coilovers. If I find it too low or high I can change it in a short time.

FPenvy 11-20-2018 09:21 AM

curious as too how good treadwear ratings actually are. GTR guys tell me that michelin PS cups 2's although rated at 180 last the same or less than R888R's rated at 100.

those are my choices i think for the spring. 285/325 combo...mmmmm meat :yum:

How often do you really think you'll change it? Cheaper sets are going to have less adjustability as well.

Honestly don’t know. Never had the option. Lol

I was considering the H&R springs as well. I wanted to do an aggressive drop, those were the most aggressive I could find from a reputable brand. I’m all over the place really. My brain goes through 100 different options at the same time until I’m just frustrated and confused.

JARblue 11-20-2018 09:33 AM

And that's how you end up buying a product that you shouldn't have. Take your time and do your research. Save the money and spend it once the right way instead of wasting it on something you aren't happy with.

If this is your DD, the most aggressive drop is going to be a PIA... my swifts are perfect for DD. I still scrape on steep driveways or big speed bumps, so the drop that the Swifts give me is the most Ill go. BTW, my avatar is on stock springs

I wish there was some type of simulator that would let me experience every type of spring/strut combo and every coilover set. Lol

Research, research, research. Figure out a variety of options that might be good for you. Then more research for reviews and photos of those setups. Try to find someone local with a similar setup that you can check out in person. Take your time and be thorough. That will give you time to save up the money, too.
