Gotta go see the P/O tomorrow after not hearing from her for a year and a half. Not like I've not been trying to get in touch with her. They never answer their phone. . .

My 1st house I bought. The guy before me ran new water lines in the house. Some how, he had a hot water line ran to the upstairs toilet. If you flushed the toilet more then 2 times in a row. The hot water would melt the wax ring. It took me 3 wax rings to figure out on how they was being destroyed. :shakes head:

Well I made it home safe and sound. The car not so much. I don't know but I think my motor finally gave up the ghost. I hope it's only an oil line but it may be several weeks till I find out for sure. Gonna take it Seb when has time to take it.

I was head down the front straight in fourth gear and before I could brake and down shift there was pop like a blown tire and the car shimmied the same. I did not here any knock or clanging metal parts before I got her stopped. I turned her over and she started up and there was no noise for the couple of seconds I let it run. Anyway, I going to bed and try to forget about things for a minute or two. On a positive note, I absolutely love my trailer. Spooler nailed it on the size and she towe like a champ.

Super condensed version is; was on pain killers(roxy and the sort) for about 4 years. Got pretty deep and sold everything I owned so I started stealing from car dealerships to support the habit of me and my ex. Got arrested, went through drug court which didn't work cause I wasn't ready to stop. Went to jail for a total of probably 3 months. Spent 14 months in rehab, and graduated that program in April of this year. January will be my 2 year anniversary for being clean though. So it's working out well. Although I'm still horrible with my money, at least I have something to show for it now. lol

 That's good that you are keeping yourself clean.

I would have given up tbh. I hate anything to do with home repair. I'm yelling at this toilet earlier thinking; "I can fix a dang car which has 212 degree coolant and 15+/- psi of pressure in the cooling system but I can't get a toilet which has no pressure to stop leaking". :shakes head:

Did you shut it down or it quit it's self? And the pop. Where was the noise? Front, back, sides?

I was actually talking to the ex while I was in rehab, dumb yes, but we had broken up because she had gotten into meth pretty bad and the last I saw her in person she looked like a skeleton. I went by her house about a month after I got out into the real world again and her mom told me she had died. That was a hella bummer. She had been doing better, whatever better means. I was actually talking with her the night before it happened. I still have not gotten a concrete answer on how it happened, although I'm 90% sure it was an OD. . .

Edit: I didn't mean that to sound so fickle, like I'd broken up with her because of her looks. I broke up with her because she was on the meth, and I just didn't want to be around that. She was lying and hiding things from me more than she ever had before.

That was pretty much the only reaction I had when her mother told me.

Actually the first time I got kicked out of drug court and was in jail, the first week I was in there my cousin overdosed and died after something like 6 months of being clean. I still didn't learn though, two weeks after getting out I was clean but went right back to it. Got kicked out of the program again 2 months later.

It's all good d00d. It's a hard lesson to learn, harder for some than others. I have been extremely lucky to have things turn out the way they did for me. I have an amazing family and great friends. I like my job, even if the pay isn't great, and I have 2 cars now, and a lot of stuff, lol. I have a lot of debt too, but it's ok. I'm happier now than I've been in a long time. Lonely as heck, lol, but happier in every other aspect.

Any oil on the ground? Well, you have been preparing for this for a while and knew the day may come. Let's see what Seb finds. If it was blown, it would be making all kind of noises for the most part. Sounds like you may have blown a CAC /intercooler boot. That would sound like a blown tire.

Morning all! Hotrodz, good luck to you and sorry to hear about your car. That can be a bit stressful. Glad the trailer worked out well!

Felix, good work getting clean. I always think of the quote from the singer of Megadeth - "Doing heroin is like having sex with a gorilla. You're not done until the gorilla is done."

Made me chuckle, but there seems to be a dark truth to it.

old guy 11-19-2018 07:12 AM

Got back from deer camp on Friday afternoon, wanted to get some work done on the out side, started to work & in less than 5 min. I blew out my back, I've been a mess ever since!
