Mornin':hello:

old guy 11-19-2018 07:26 AM

Figured out that I REALLY NEED a new set of tires on the Maxima.
When leaving deer camp I couldn't get out of the hilly 2 track drive, there was only 2-3" of snow on the ground
Took about 15 min.to go a quarter mi.
Oh yeah, while sliding down a small hill backwards, BAM, right in to a tree !
Very minimal damage

bunk 11-19-2018 07:29 AM

Morning folks! Its Monday.. ugh..

jchammond 11-19-2018 07:29 AM

Gotta get rolling on this Monday morning; picked up a new carry on bag for the flight,,,it’s got actual dimensions on a card that’s zip-tied to it....gonna leave it on there.
I’ll be “tagging” :icon17:

lol of course...

I actually have a borrowed PS3 and steering wheel setup - I've been doing a lot of time trials on GT6 lately. Are the D3 PS3 and PS4 versions compatible online? Is there a subscription requirement like Xbox Live?

Glad you're ok. That's a bad time to find out about a need for new tires.

Now I need to find out where all various family meals are being hosted. Just point me to the turkey and mashed potatoes, please :yum:

Never did a refueling. I jumped out before they had to refuel. lol
Ive only been on C130s and C141s. Short flights except when I deployed. And even then, we landed to refuel.

old guy 11-19-2018 07:39 AM

New tires were on my short list, now there on the top of the list!

good morning

old guy 11-19-2018 07:45 AM

I knew I needed tires a couple of weeks ago ( they look pretty good ) during one of the rains I experienced some hydroplaning, once I get that I replace the tires asap

I had that on my way to Zdayz. Outside still had meat. Closer look revealed that thanks to the negative camber on the Z, inside was much worse. Replaced them right after. No more hydroplaning!

I shut it down, it sounded like it came from the back passenger side.

There was enough oil on the track for them to black flag the session to get me off and clean up the oil. I talk to a guy afterwards and he said him and one other car slid right through turn 1. I hope it is blown high pressure oil line.

Best flight ever....

I worked with a Gunnery Sergeant (E7) that was prone to puke at the least little thing. We were on a C130 with a Direct Air Support Central shelter in the back of it. There was just enough room for a skinny person to get by the shelter either side, if you were a little stocky, you had problems getting through to the back. The gunny was just along for the flight hours, I was in charge of making sure the shelter was operational and I had a lance corporal (E3) with me. We handed off the system to the operators and kicked back on the jump seats to enjoy the ride. My E3 decided he was gonna mess with the gunny, knowing how easy it was to get him to puke... :eekdance:

He sat right across from the gunny, making 'puke' faces, (you know the gagging sound with bulging cheeks)... Gunny said, 'you better stop it'... and I told the E3, 'be careful, he might puke on you in revenge'..... well.... Gunny wasn't a small man.... and he managed to get past the shelter, to the portable head without puking on the shelter or the aircraft, but boy..... he stunk up the aircraft.... :barf:

The crew chief was pissed, and the E3 wound up cleaning the head when we got back on the ground..... :bowrofl::bowrofl:

I am torn, the cheap fix would be great easy fix car not down for a long time and I still am not out of harms way as five year boosted on stock motor and pounding it at the track. Part of me just wants to get the motor built and be done with it which means a long down time and big expense. At least I have already purchased a closed deck block and CP rods and pistons.

That was a brave LCP to mess with a gunny. I made the unwise decision as a lowly E3 at the pistol range. Our CO had just qualified as Expert on his 45. The First Sergeant was proctoring his session. As I walked by, I said "Captain, are you SURE you didnt cheat?". Top turns to me with a glare that wouldve melted the snow caps.. "ARE YOU QUESTIONING MY INTEGRITY PRIVATE FIRST CLASS?!!!?"... No First Sergeant!...I instinctively dropped and did 10 pushups, got back up and made a beeline and crawled back under my rock...:gtfo2:

This was back in the late 70's. I was in the DoD. Had a pilot who wanted to fly fighters. He some how ended up flying 130's, and didn't like it. Hated flying with him. Because he never stuck to the flight plans. Used to call his plane the Upchuck Special. :rofl2: Pizz calls was opening the rear ramp. And wizzing off the back of It over some town. :rofl2:

i'm looking at tires for spring since they got rid of RE-11's :shakes head:

What I'm wondering, Bob, is why you don't already have a block built and waiting to be installed the moment something catastrophic happens?

Should have charged more for those Nismo wheels :stirthepot:

Hotrodz 11-19-2018 09:14 AM

Na, the real reason is that Seb had been too busy and he was doing some R&D with his car and wanted to wait for results before he did mine. I think Blueranger is still waiting on his motor and it has been there since June, maybe before.

Probably because he wasnt good enough to be rated for Fighter Planes in flight school. People like this are dangerous. See the 1994 Fairchild Air Force Base B52 incident!

That’s all very understandable, especially considering you just got the car back after months of work being done.

Who did the closed deck block?

I found out last night what my fiancee is getting me for Christmas...:tup:

Not car parts or bang sticks...... :bowrofl:

I have a choice between a Nintendo Switch or an Xbox one S....

I'm leaning towards the Xbox because of the game selection and because I've never been much of a fan of Nintendo....:ugh2: it seems to me that most of the Nintendo games are based on Mario or Zelda and I wasn't a fan of either one.

I've got a PS3 that I never play, so it's going to find it's way to one of the grandkids.

Now to start collecting Xbox gamer tags....... :bowrofl::bowrofl:

Game selection is better on the PS4. All the same cross titles but the exclusives are better. Xbox has really dropped off on their games production with this last console.
