Made it home tonight around 9pm. Feels good to be home.

Today, west of Indy on I70. Was past by a Lambo doing WELL OVER 130 mph. Didn't even seen him come up behind me either. When he got near me. All I heard was exhaust, then seen tail lights. :driving:

Got past by a Prius too. I was doing 80. He must have been doing 90~95. :rofl2: I didn't think they could go that fast.

Past a semi hauling a speedboat. Had 3 drives on the rear of it. Look like surface drives. The boat must have been at least 12ft wide. Had wide load pasted on the trailer.

Also seen a red Alfa Romeo Giulia. My god. Does that red stand out. :yum: Love that color.

Seen more blue hairs driving Vettes than I care to see. :shakes head: Think everyone I seen was driven by a blue hair. :rofl2: That now is an old man's car.

Seen more Vette's then Camaro's. Moosetangs everywhere. Seen a few Hellcat's. Watched one put down 300 ft of rubber at a red light. :rofl2: In Denver.

Out of boredom, researching the CARB certification process. This actually doesn't look too bad, I wonder why more companies don't bother with this?

The process might not be too bad, it's the massive bribes and kickbacks that have to be paid....:ugh2:

Ain't nothin' free in Commifornia.... :gtfo2:

No offense, onzedge... ;)

On a side note, residents of that fine state are now restricted to 55 gallons of water per person per day, or face a $1000 fine.... :eekdance:

Until 2025, when they can only use 50 gallons per day.... Hell, you can't do laundry and take a shower on the same day...

The process is straight forward, however, the 'fees' are ever changing. I ran a Corvette repair business out there during the early 90s. My partner and I were going to open a smog inspection station with the idea to 'certify' exhaust systems as being CARB compliant. Upon further research, the 'fees' got to be difficult. We had to put down $10k to start, then there was a 'fee' of $1000 per month, then after we submitted paperwork, it was rejected 4 times before we found out that we hadn't paid the county clerk their 'fee' to process the paperwork...:mad:
That 'fee' wasn't listed anywhere, we had to go talk to the clerk to find out that $$$ amount. Needless to say, we dropped the idea of a smog station pretty quick. :owned:

If I lived a mile east of Bone Manor, I'd have to get emissions.

Yeah, you don't own the rain that lands on your land. They do. :icon14: It's all about control. They want to control your life. It's only getting worse.

Nissan is going to cover the part. $245 precisely which is outrageous to begin with. She will just have to cover labor which was quoted at $140.

Just got done working on the Power Wagon. About 3 weeks ago. I had a brake line in the rear pop. It rusted through. So I replaced the lines then. BUT the the bolts that hold the brake lines in place broke on both sides. I tried to drill them out before my trip. But the drills bits I had wouldn't put a dent in the broken bolts. So this morning. I when to Fastenal to get some cobalt drill bits. These didn't do anything either. Ended up using a carbide burr bit on a pencil die grinder. After burring out the bolts. Ran a drill bit down through the hole. Then retapped the holes. The left side went pretty smooth. The right side. Ahhhh......broke 2 drill bits in the hole.  Used the burr bit to remove the pieces. After that. Retapped and installed the bolt. Tomorrow, I have to tackle the rear axle locker. It has a flashing light on the dash. If I have to replace the locker assy. That's about $4,000.
