The mirrors from Jar are finally installed. The brass ring inside the neck stripped. So a trip to Lowes and some vice grips later, the goose neck of the mirrors is wicked tight and sturdy now. May do the same to the other side this weekend just to be on the safe end. About a 3 hour process to install both.

3 hours better include driving to home depot, making supper, eating and then installing the mirrors.

The threads on the inside of the brass nut were stripped and flaked right off. So I used jb weld to fill the hole and tapped a new thread into it. I couldn't find anything even remotely close at Lowes to replace the brass part.

Getting the door panel and bolts off was quick and painless. Maybe 5 minutes per side. I even trimmed the plastic rubber mold piece so it covers the gap below the mirror so no water can enter the door. I did end up just snipping the cables for the electronic controls on the stock mirrors. I'll solder them together later at some point.
