It would be hard to beat my current schedule too. I only work 3 days on, 4 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off. I have grown accustomed to 3 and 4 day weekends every week.

I love it when recruiters call me. I let them know the bare minimum it would take to drag me back to 5 day work weeks. I never hear from them again.

That's the issue I'm having now on some positions. I tell them what I made and what I expect. Either the phone goes dead or they tell that I'm over quatified for the position. Basically, they want someone with over 20 yrs experience and only want to pay them less then 5 yr experience.

LOL, I applied for a position with Pheasants Forever in late December and my buddy told me they did not consider me because my asking salary was to high and I was like wtf, the salary I asked for was a significant cut in pay from where I am at now and I probably would have gone lower. Nonetheless, I have never heard from them even after prompting by my friend that was at the time one of their Western State Director.

When a recruiter ask me what my pay was for what I did. And I tell them it was in the 6 figures range. They faint. I made more then my plant manager.

And there you have it...they didn't like that figure from me as well. I guess being old and having 18 years of executive experience and training makes me way over qualified and too expensive. Especially when you can find a younger person for half the price.

So just so for you old white guys....when you turn 40 you become protected under the Fair Labor Law standards just like us minorities if that makes you feel better. LMAO!

Don't get mad at him when things inevitably break even worse. Poor guy is probably in the same position I am in. You band-aid fix critical things because you don't have the time for a full recovery of the crash since everything else is breaking. Then the IT guy just leaves one day from a mental collapse and everything begins to smell like toast.

Want to hear a good one? All 4000 of our laptops decided the are going to take 13 minutes to boot up. 3 minutes to close out of a VDI.

And that's when you just say screw it, steal the bosses card, and hire a third party to sort it out lol.

nah, I tell bigboss man right before I leave and he will contact Desktop Architecture team. They create all images and have access to the core servers for testing and deploying a fix.
