eastwest2300 03-08-2018 10:28 AM

Mr. Leingod, did you get your new exhaust?

Rusty 03-08-2018 10:30 AM

Wash them with wheel cleaner. Then use Flitz polish.

On the plus side, I have come to terms with the situation startlingly quick. And I have her retirement and alimony for some nice leverage. I'm fully expecting to keep the house and Z for myself in exchange for agreeing to an uncontested divorce. I certainly don't have any desire to drag this out. Based on her attitude towards things I'm not even planning to lawyer up (other than retainer).

If I can get the Z fixed up in the next month or two, I'm thinking an impromptu trip to ZDayZ might be in order :D

Oh Jar sorry to hear and read this today. Man I’ll be glad to see you at Zday and have fun with the boys. Pm me your contact info. I’ll clear up my messages.

Guess I will bite the bullet then and order. I'm just not a fan of the thin tips. Was hoping they were rolled. And they look like 5 inch width. Might look huge on the car.

easy fixes if it really bothers you that much. shouldnt cost much to get others welded on. I personally think it looks fine.

StevenSlice 03-08-2018 11:27 AM

Havent done **** to the Z in a while. Have only driven it like twice in over a week and some.

I gotta wash it, and clean the inside from the buttonwillow event flying off track..

Oh and do my oil + bleed the brakes but those arent important lol

Those are the standard tips FWIW. It's just a bad angle for him to take the pic from.

http://www.the370z.com/exhaust-intak...und-clips.html

They kind of... funnel down inside, to the resonators. I normally prefer the rolled tip look, but I actually do like these visually quite a bit.

JLarson 03-08-2018 11:37 AM

And 4.5", not 5". I'll take a pic of mine later today for you. I don't think FI offers multiple options for the tips.

Those photos look way better. Didn't know they looked like that inwards. Way better looking now. I'm just paranoid when it comes to used car parts lol

Leingod 03-08-2018 12:09 PM

Just sent the guy a message. Told him $1,100 shipped for the exhaust and Stillen CAI if he wanted. Otherwise $900 shipped for just the exhaust. Now we play the waiting game.

Leingod 03-08-2018 12:22 PM

Supposedly sold to me! He will have the exhaust off and shipped this weekend upon final approval from me after he sends better photos and a video.

Pintsize725 03-08-2018 12:22 PM

Brisket grilled cheese for lunch. My heart hurts.

Leingod 03-08-2018 12:26 PM

Madwi, be expecting a tracking number from me comes Saturday. hahahaha.

Now I need to get ahold of Fly1 and see if they can switch addresses for the side blades as well.

It's been a roller coaster this week and I don't do well when chit changes out of my control... it tends to piss off the inner perfectionist...:icon17:

Incompetent people tend to set me off.....

when I got my tune, the change was night and day..

JARblue 03-08-2018 12:42 PM

:iagree:

I got a tune when the only mod I had was intakes. It was a noticeable difference even then and totally worth it.

Leingod 03-08-2018 01:01 PM

I'm just excited for the butt dyno driving back from Madwi's after a weekend of wrenching.

For me, I didn't notice any of the individual mods very much, but it was a huge difference after tuning. Car pulls hard. My problem at that point became eliminating wheel hop :)

Since you have basically the same setup I am going to have. Any drone or rasp? I'm curious what the Db level will be upon completion. Doubt it can be any louder than my current STM axleback.
