On the plus side, I have come to terms with the situation startlingly quick. And I have her retirement and alimony for some nice leverage. I'm fully expecting to keep the house and Z for myself in exchange for agreeing to an uncontested divorce. I certainly don't have any desire to drag this out. Based on her attitude towards things I'm not even planning to lawyer up (other than retainer).

If I can get the Z fixed up in the next month or two, I'm thinking an impromptu trip to ZDayZ might be in order :D

Damn Jar that sucks. But you do seem to have things planned out and as you said, are handling it quite well. Great on having the leverage! :owned:

Hope it all works out for you. Definitely fix the Z and go to ZDayZ!!! :driving:

I have been through this more than once. It is not easy, no matter how "easy" people want to make it.

Call me if you need or want to talk.

Hang in there.

I'm really sorry to hear that man. I'm glad you're holding up relatively well, but that's still tough.

Ouch... not having been through this myself, but it doesn't sound fun at all.

I really would talk to some of these guys that have experience in this area just to ensure that there is not something that you may not have thought of that might occur.

Keep your chin up...

Thanks everyone. I've got a really good support net, so I'm doing well. I appreciate all the thoughts and prayers :tiphat:

I started moving some of her stuff out of the master closet and it was so cathartic that the closet is now devoid of all her belongings :)

My car sat all last year. I got a new battery this year and I am getting ready to clean the K&N filters and change the oil. About 14K on the OD. Great car for me, but not a great investment to have in MI.
There is no way I am bringing my car out anytime soon. The potholes are unreal. We have the worst roads in the nation. That statement is a challenge to any of you. Tax dollars diverted and invested in shitty contracts by the state.
Don't even get me started on the gas and registration tax.

I was thinking about dumping the Fit and daily driving the Z again, but I think I'm going to buy SPL solid transmission and motor mounts for the Z instead :D

Jar, keep a lawyer in your back pocket for the unexpected. Feel sorry for you. But at the same time. Happy for you too. This chapter of your life coming to a close, and time to start another.

If my orange cutting pad has several cuts in it, will that affect the performance of it? There are several going in a circle.

Only issue I could see is the dispersion of the liquid being used could fold within the cuts on the pad causing an uneven distribution of product onto paint. But otherwise, no. I doubt cuts within a pad are detrimental to cutting. Or just buy a new pad. They're cheap.

My asss is beat! Finished up the diff. It's ready to go back in. Changed the diff bushing. Took about 2 hours to get the old one out. Mine wasn't leaking. So it was FULL of silicone. I hit it with a drill bit. Got squirted with silicone. Covered my face. Installed the SPL diff bushing. That was another 2 hours. My arm got a work out.
