What is the animated dock thing he was talking about which is not in his build he is using?

Ohhh, something the Nexus One has that I wish we had...instead of the little grey button/slider that we have to pull out the app tray, you have what looks like 9 dots in a square shape that when clicked brings up a cool, "rolodex" kinda thing that has all your apps on it. Its hard to explain, but its a lot cooler than the sliding app tray. Oh well, though - 2.1 in itself will be awesome.

I found something today that I found very odd my Droid can't do..
The guys at work set up a little wireless router in the office, because their Iphones get shitty 3g coverage haha..

But the wireless router connects to the office network, and the office network uses an http proxy to get out to the internet.. suprisingly no where on the Droid can you set up to use an http proxy.. anyone come across this or find a way around it?

Thats a good point Liquid - seems all you can do is set up a static IP, gateway/netmask, and DNS server...interesting. Then again, I never have to use a proxy /shrug

i haz the MotoDroid too

i texted my friend that has the Nexus One about that issue MC, i'll see what he says when he replies. i haven't had any issues being able to read mine but i can understand how some would want to see the text a little larger or at least have the option

oh and not to sound too cliche'd, there may be an app for that lol

yeah i mean i dont have a problem with it i think the font is large enough,,, im not saying my moms old or anything its just she went from a flip phone to this and she isnt adjusting so well

she gets so many emails for her job she needs something she feels comfortable using

If you're on Verizon, I wouldnt say so...

Otherwise, its an unlocked phone that can go to any carrier really...so, if thats worth it to you, not being bound to a carrier at all...then sure

You can buy a Milestone (Droid in Europe) and it can run on GSM network. One of the guys I work with just did that.
