well the 4G coverage is coming in january so i expect they will have some new phones that will support that.....

there is a rumored motorola 2Ghz phone that will launch with the new 4G coverage

The Droid X is a great phone, go buy it today.
I am the type of person who upgrades a lot, I have gone through all the iPhones, the last generation Windows Mobile phones and now on a Moto Droid. The only reason I still have this phone is because my company pays for it and I am not shelling out 400 for an upgrade when my company will in 4 months, hopefully.

Remember, with technology a new item is right around the corner always, but usually it takes a 2 or 3 generation gap to see any real changes.

Only thing new I have seen is Droid Pro, basically think a blackberry style phone with Android. A few phones are popping up in the FCC and such but no ETA date and no final specs or Android OS version announced.

You really can't beat any Motorola Droid device. The Droid X is awesome. Droid 2 is a great updated version of the original Droid. And Droid Pro is pretty similar to any Android device with Droid branding.

I would like to know...of those people who have Motorola Droid or Droid 2. Do you ever use the physical keyboard?

No, I have come from HTC keyboards and the Motorola keyboard is just horrible compared to HTC (never used BB so not sure how they compare). After having an iPhone and HTC I either use the digital keyboard or if HTC device physical keyboard.

my girl got a droid 2 today. pretty slick phone but it's crazy how much is different about it even though we are running the same OS. some stuff i like better (the facebook app seems much better for instance) others i didn't like so much. anyway, she was wondering if they make a legit carbon fiber case/cover for the phone. anyone know? she found a few vinyl stickers but most look pretty crappy

I beat angry birds today and I was sad that it was over, lol I've only had the phone for 4 days. I like tests/games that make me pick at my brain. The google sky maps is cool but, being into astronomy before having this phone, most of what is shown in sky maps is stuff I already knew.
Basically I like anything that provides information or can teach me something I didn't know before.
Here is a BROAD one, useful apps that could help with anything.
All I really do is go to school, read, watch the discovery channel, and go to car meets.
